SEDGEMOOR BATTLEFIELD TOUR- WEDNESDAY 6thJULY 2016
General Sir John Deverell has kindly agreed to lead a tour of the Sedgemoor Battlefield on Wednesday 6th July 2016, in aid of the ABF The Soldiers’ Charity.I am writing to inform you of the Battlefield Tour and ask whether you wish to attend. If you are unable to support the tour in person you may wish to support the charity through a donation.
There are32places available. The outline programme for the Dayis:
0945Arrive at St Mary’s Church, Bridgwater.
1000 - 1100Introduction and context to the battlewithin the Church
1105 - 1415Visit Battlefield sites
1420 - 1515Lunch in the field provided by 675 (Rifles) Sqn AAC of Taunton
1520- 1545Concluding remarks in the Church at Westonzoyland
1545 - 1615Return to Bridgwater.
The cost of your day will be £32.50 per person. This includes transport, lunch with drinks as well as coffee and biscuits half way round the tour.
I regretthat dogs are not allowed. Transportwill be in mini-buses provided by the Somerset Community Transport. Private cars are to be parked in Bridgwater at the beginning of the day.
Please reply on the enclosed form enclosing your cheque for £32.50 per person (made out to ‘ABF The Soldiers’ Charity’) as soon as possible. Places will be allocated in order of application andI willsend out further details and a map including details of car parking, on receipt of your payment.
