Attention Parents who

pick up students!!!

All Parents:

The students being picked up will be dismissed at 3:10 allowing five minutes for cars to exit the school property before we start loading buses.

We ask all drivers to be extra cautious, courteous and drive slowly!

Students who are walking home will be held until the ‘car’ traffic has cleared –then they will be dismissed.

Teachers will be responsible for supervising all areas of dismissal. Please respect and listen to any directions they give.

First Grade Parents:

We ask all first grade parents pull up along the curb closest to the school. First grade students will exit the building through the front doors. Two teachers will be responsible for escorting them and assisting them with getting into the cars. Between 3:10 and 3:15 first grade parents will be permitted to pull into the designated bus loading area – but you must remain in your car. Do not park and get out of your vehicle if you are in the bus lane. At 3:15 buses will begin pulling in so you must be out of those designated areas by 3:15. If you arrive and the curb lane is full…you can pull into the curb lane… as other cars pull out. We do not want students walking between cars to go out to the middle lanes of traffic. If you get out of your car to get your child – please always use the crosswalk!

Second and Third Grade Parents:

Please use the loopin the parking lot on the west side of the building as designed. Do not pull in and park along the curb in front of school – we need this space for first grade parents. Do not pull up and park along the fence. (Trying to back out or cut across the loop traffic is dangerous!)

Students who need to cross the street or cross through the second and third grade line will be asked to wait until the traffic has cleared out to eliminate walking between cars and buses.

Parents we ask that you not park down the street and walk up and encourage your child to cut through traffic. Please use the loop!

If your child is being picked up in a vehicle – please display the Window Sign you will be given. This will assist staff members in getting the students ready, keep the line moving smoothly and assure safety of the students.

If at any time you need to make an emergency change in your child’s transportation plans – please call the school prior to 2:00 PM to allow plenty of time for messages to be delivered to students and teachers. When possible – a note sent prior to the change is the best way to ensure no last minute confusion!

If you have children in multiple grade levels….sibblings will meet at the second and third grade doors on the west end and be dismissed together. Please use the loop and follow the traffic flow pattern for the loop.

If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact the school office or your child’s teacher!

Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
