Creating a PowerPoint Presentation
Microsoft PowerPoint is a very useful tool to have and know how to use properly. Many people create presentations using PowerPoint for business meetings to speeches. It is a simple process and you yourself can master it with a little bit of practice.
Caution:
Long periods of time at a keyboard can and may lead to carpal tunnel syndrome.
Step 1:
Toopen Microsoft PowerPoint, click the Start menu, then choose All Programs. From there choose Microsoft Office and the PowerPoint program will be located there.

Step 2:With Microsoft PowerPoint open you can choose from multiple slide layouts by clicking Format then Slide Layout. A box will appear on the right hand side of the screen with different layouts. Choose any slide layout that you would like.

Step 3: After you choose what layout you would like you can choose a background for each slide. Click Format from the toolbar then Slide Design. Again, a box will appear on the right side of the screen with different slide designs. Choose any slide design you would like to use now.

Step 4: To insert new slides click Insert from the toolbar then click New Slide. A new slide will appear and will be displayed in the center of the screen and in the box on the left side of the screen.

Step 5: After you have added text to a slide you can add an animation to that slide. First, click Slide Show from the toolbar then choose Custom Animation. This will only apply to highlighted items, not entire section. Highlight the text that you wish to add an effect, after that click Add Effect. You can choose from multiple animations to apply to the text.

Step 6: Once you have made all the slides that you want you can view your presentation in slide show view. At the bottom of the screen click the Slide Show Button.
Step 7: If you would like to change the order of your slides click the Slide Sorter Button at the bottom of the screen next to the Slide Show Button.
Once in slide sorter view you can change the order of the slides by clicking the slide that you wish to change and dragging it to the location you wish it to be.
