You may or may not already be aware that from next September, you will be requiredto register yourself and yourproperties, whoever lets and manages them will need to be licensed and there will be feespayable for both registration and licensing.

The time is therefore right for you to let us to manage your property.

We in the Council’s Housing Options Service operate a Social Lettings Agency which provides accommodation for those individuals with an immediate housing need. Our service covers all aspect of management and we provide support to maintain successful tenancies.

There are no initial fees and the following are free of charge:

We will accredit your property to promote and maintain good standards throughout the properties we manage

We will carry out the pre tenancy checks whetherprospective tenants will qualify for Housing Benefit and how much their entitlement would be

We check any previous poor tenancy history

We will carry out an assessment of suitability and affordability of the property

We will provide an inventory with photographic evidence

We have a steady supply of households seeking accommodation in the private sector therefore we aim to conduct viewings speedily

We will carry out a full tenancy sign up and welcome pack for tenants

Our experienced and knowledgeable staffprovide a value for money management service. We market our properties at local housing allowance rates so they are affordableand because we have excellent working relationships with the Housing Benefit department, we can guarantee that any benefit due is paid directly to us.

Our management fee is just10% of rent collected for single lets and is negotiable for houses in multiple occupation please contact us for further information.Please be advised that we are currently offering financial incentives and for a limited time only we are offering an Introductory package where no management fee will be charged for the first 6 months of the tenancy.
