Title:Face 2 Face Trainer/Co-ordinator
Reports to:Information and Support Manager

Role purpose:
To deliver training and support group sessions for Face2Face volunteers across the 5 boroughs of East London.
To delivery experiential training in line with the prescribed learning outcomes of the Face2Face training pack.
To support volunteer befrienders through the process of their personal experiences as a group and individually.
To support the Face2Face Project Coordinators with the day-to-day management of the Face2Face befriending projects in East London (when required and within capacity of the role).

Key accountabilities
For managers
- To provide a facilitative and inclusive management style establishing and maintaining productive, collaborative relations with internal and external stakeholders

- To recruit, manage and develop staff within Scope’s HR and operational policies and procedures
- To utilise volunteers appropriately within the department

- To work seamlessly across department or team boundaries in a collaborative and constructive manner to achieve Scope’s aims.
- To demonstrate a commitment to customer service excellence and deliver against the requirements of Scope’s quality framework.

Role specific
- To deliver the Face2Face training package to volunteer befrienders
- To set up and facilitate peer group sessions to support volunteers.
- To provide individual support for volunteers.
- To support the Project Coordinators to create links with parents groups, voluntary organisations and appropriate statutory providers to publicise the project.
- To support the Project Coordinators to identify effective means of targeting parent volunteers and provide relevant information to support the recruitment process.
- To ensure that all parent volunteers understand and subscribe to the principles of Disability Equality and that they work to the Social Model of Disability.
- To ensure all parent volunteers are appropriately prepared before entering into a contract to become a befriender.
- To set up and facilitate peer group sessions to support volunteers.
- To provide individual support for volunteers.
- To keep statistical information for review, evaluation and planning purposes.
- •To support the Project Co-ordinators to arrange events/training for parents.
