TITLES ASSOCIATED WITH BOYLE LINEAGES
There are two large families in the British Isles about which I have been collecting information. The first is associated with the First Earl of Cork, and descends from Lewis Boyle, of Bidney, Herefordshire, and his ancestors. The second is associated with the First Earl of Glasgow, and descends from Robert Boyle of Kelburn, Ayrshire, and his ancestors.
The genealogical trees for these two families include many people with titles, or associations with manors. I have pulled those titles from the file, and sorted them into three groups:
- titles of people who are directly descended from the founding fathers, and are of Boyle lineage,
- titles of people who married someone of Boyle lineage, and
- titles of parents and grandparents of those who married someone of Boyle lineage.
Titles born by people who are directly descended from the founding fathers of these two Boyle lineages include the following: Baron Ashburton; Baron Bandon; Baron Barrymore; Baron Bolton of Bolton Castle; Baron Carleton; Baron Clifford of Lanesborough; Baron Cobbold; Baron Cochrane Of Cults; Baron De Fresnes; Baron Digby; Baron Donington; Baron Inglewood; Baron Lecale of Ardglass; Baron Manners; Baron Montagu of Boughton; Baron of Knapton; Baron Stewart; Baron Talbot Of Malahide; Baron Teviot; Baroness Allendale; Baroness Carver; Baroness Carysfort; Baroness Grey (Of Ruthin); Baroness Rayleigh; Baronet Bagot; Baronet Barclay of Pierston; Baronet Borrowes of Grangemellon; Baronet Buchanan; Baronet Burton; Baronet Chetwynd; Baronet Hare; Baronet of Montgomery-Cuninghame of Corsehill; Baronet Scott-Douglas; Baronet Worsley; Countess of Coningsby; Countess Of Loudoun; Dean of Durham; Duchess of Beaufort; Duchess of York; Duke of Buccleuch; Duke of Devonshire; Duke of Leinster; Duke of Queensbury; Earl of Arundel And Surrey; Earl of Balfour; Earl of Barrymore; Earl of Beaulieu; Earl of Blesington; Earl of Burlington; Earl of Carysfort; Earl of Clarendon; Earl of Cork; Earl of Cork and Orrery; Earl of Courtown; Earl of Dalkeith; Earl of Derby; Earl of Drumlanrig; Earl of Dundee; Earl of Enniskillen; Earl of Essex; Earl of Glasgow; Earl of Halifax; Earl of Inchiquin; Earl of Kerry; Earl of Kildare; Earl of Lathom; Earl of Londesborough; Earl of Loudoun; Earl of Lytton; Earl of March; Earl of Mornington; Earl of Offaly; Earl of Orrery; Earl of Pembroke; Earl of Queensbury; Earl of Ranelagh; Earl of Romney; Earl of Rosse; Earl of Sandwich; Earl of Shannon; Earl of Shrewsbury; Earl of St Germans; Earl of Uxbridge; Earl of Westmorland; Lord Boyle; Lord Burghersh; Lord Digby of Geashill; Lord Eliot; Lord Grey of Ruthin; Lord Hyde; Lord Irwin; Lord Mauchline; Lord Montagu; Lord Paget; Lord Proby; Lord Scott of Whitchester; Lord Scrymgeour; Lord Stanley; Marquess of Carisbrooke; Marquess Of Hastings; Marquess of Kildare; Marquess of Wharton; Princess of York; Vicountess Ikerrin; Vicountess Mayo; Viscount Allen; Viscount Blesington; Viscount Boyle; Viscount Cornsbury; Viscount Dungarvan; Viscount Gage; Viscount Hambleden; Viscount Harcourt; Viscount Hillsborough; Viscount Hinchinbroke; Viscount Ingestre; Viscount Lisburne; Viscount Moore of Drogheda; Viscount Mountjoy; Viscount Rosse; Viscount Shannon; and Viscount St. Davids.
