You need to check each of the local scholarships and bursaries posted on the guidance bulletin board for a complete description of criteria. All applications are in the top drawer of the filing cabinet in the guidance office. Students are to pass their applications in to Ms. Leonard directly.

LRHS Auction Scholarships:Planning to attend a post-secondary program beginning in September of their graduating year. Evidence of satisfactory achievement and effort. Commitment and involvement in citizenship, volunteerism, leadership in school and community will be given careful consideration.

Milton Community Association Scholarship -Granted to a grade 12 student who is a resident of Milton and furthering his/her education beyond LRHS.Satisfactory achievement.Citizenship in school and community.Own application form in top drawer of filing cabinet. ______

Liverpool Kinsmen and Kinette Bursary.Granted to a student who is furthering his/her education beyond High School.Satisfactory academic achievement. No more than $500.00 from other sources. Queens Manor Staff and Resident Council Bursary.Granted to a student who plans to further study in the Long Term Care Health Service profession (Nursing, Health Care Aid, Physio& Occupational Therapy, Dietary, etc.).Satisfactory academic achievement (min 65%).Financial need taken into consideration.Own application form in top drawer of filing cabinet. ______

Queens General Hospital Auxillary.Evidence of financial need. (Nursing or Health Related degree) Award available to students planning to attend university or college college.Financial need taken into consideration. IODE

  1. The IODE Memorial Scholarship may be given to a student who enters training for the teaching profession.
  1. A Bursary will be given to a student to further his or her educationbeyond high school.

Brenton Smith and Lyall and Kay Vaughan Memorial Bursaried (Mersey Branch, No. 38 of the Canadian Legion)These bursaries shall be open to all worthy applicants residing in the area served by Mersey Branch No. 38, B.E.L.S. who possess the necessary qualities of good citizenship. The Mabel Gertrude Doggett Memorial ScholarshipGraduating student of LRHS.Acceptance for study at a post-secondary institution. Preference may be given to someone intending to teach. Preference may be given to candidates who are residents in White Point or immediate area. Preference may be given to students showing financial need. Academic performance may be a factor. Mrs. T.E.D. Watson Memorial Bursary Grade 12 student furthering his or her education beyond LRHS. Citizenship in school and community will be given careful consideration. Elizabeth Emeneau Memorial BursaryGrade 12 student who is graduating from LRHS in the current academic year. He/she must be accepted in either a Forestry program or a building trade such as carpentry, plumbing electrician, etc. If there are no applicants planning to study the above, other trades will be considered.
