Position: Shipping Assistant

General Responsibilities:

Responsible for assisting with the organization and timely shipping from the warehouse to distributors and consumers. Meet or exceed daily quantities to reach productivity and quality expectations for this area. Responsible for working closely as a team with the Head Shipper. Ensure all safety protocol is being followed in this area. Be an active and contributing part of Werner Paddles positive environment.

Specific Responsibilities:

·  Pick orders by pulling parts accurately and efficiently

·  Pack and process orders, boxing and labeling

·  Maintain and follow customer specific shipping criteria

·  Receive and store materials and finished goods

·  Work closely with Head Shipper to help production, planning and customer service to maintain an optimum level of teamwork

·  Receive repairs accurately and within defined timeline

·  Keep all materials organized

·  Keep area clean and walkways clear

·  Help Shipper maintain accurate inventory on finished goods

·  Follow specific work instructions, documentation and training for this area

·  Ensure all safety protocol for the area is followed

·  Maintain attendance according to Company attendance policy

·  This position will involve many other tasks and responsibilities that are not listed. The above job description is a highlight of some of the larger duties

Qualifications:

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in a shipping environment.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The employee may work in a hot or cold environment while in the shipping area.

Experience:

·  Prior domestic and international shipping experience a plus

·  Familiarity with UPS and motor freight companies

·  Inventory management
