CRANBROOK MINOR HOCKEY BOARD MEETING DECEMBER 17th 2012

NEW BUSINESS
Novice representatives Rick Bennet and Max Andrew speak about being short players on their team. Would like numbers evened out for all teams and player movement without coach communication to stop.
Options:
1-leave it
2-pick up players for games
3-remove team from schedule and place kids on other rosters
4-combine practices
Rick and coaches will work over the xmas holidays on canvassing other kids on other teams to come to there team. CMHA will advertise player recruitment.
- There is to be no more player movement without coach communication
Atom- Kimberley is not willing to change banner tourney dates even though Cranbrook House Tourney is the same weekend. Bobby-Jo will draft a letter to EK pres explaining that CMHA has enough ice to run 4 team banner tourney on two separate weekends. Cranbrook will not be attending if date remains. Will we be fined?
REPORTS
ICE COORDINATOR- Teams are reminded that they are not to be booking ice anywhere for their teams if it isn’t through Tracey and CMHA. This includes booking refs with bobby-Jo.
COACH COORDINATOR- Grant wants to meet with all coaches for mid season update.
EK REPORT- MT3, BT4, PWT4 Not attending provincials
GOALIE DEV- Rob has organized the Bradford Goaltending day camp for Friday December 21 – 20 goalies committed. Cost was reduced as Nelson and Castlegar held clinics on the same weekend- $1500.00
FEMALE DEV- Both teams are registered for provincials
- Jamboree was held in Kimberley for all girls. The girls enjoyed – 11 girls showed.
GAMING- New rule for payout of 50/50 winnings. Winnings are paid out before the winner leaves the rink.
CITY LIAISON- Darren is organizing an air quality test for the Kinsmen and Andrea will ask about non working score clock in Kinsmen at the same time.
