Position: Public Relations/Marketing Director
Location: Cambridge, MA
Position Background:
Our client is a real estate investmentfirm specializing in grocer-anchored shopping centers in New England. The firm is made of a team of young, dynamicand entrepreneurialreal estate professionals with exceptional backgrounds and a proven track record in theacquisition, financing, repositioning and disposition of shopping centers.The firm’s goal is to scale up its real estate investments and re-brand itself as an investment firm investing third-party capital in retail real estate. The candidatewill be a key addition to the team, primarily responsible for planning, budgeting and implementing the annual communication and marketing plan for the firm. In order to support all functions of the company and spur growth, the candidate will have todevelopcutting-edgecontent delivered 360°through all available communication channels, including social media.
Key areas of responsibility include:
Brand Positioning and Management:
· Manage brand identity and increase awareness;
· Manage relationship with PR/marketing agency.
Media Relations:
· Develop and maintain relationships with all applicable publications, in particular trade
publications;
· Draft and have published constant flow of press releases and editorials with cutting edge content;
· Create and place advertisements when necessary.
Event Marketing:
· Organize annual company event;
· Set up and host showstopper booths at ICSC conferences;
· Win speaking engagements on panels and create content;
· Attend, advertise in, and sponsor, selected trade events.
Online Marketing:
· Develop, maintain and drive traffic to interactive website that supports the company’s goals;
· Create targeted online advertising and mailing campaigns with cutting-edge content.
Investor Relations:
· Produce client presentation material;
· Attend, sponsor, speak and advertise at, selected events;
QUALIFICATIONS:
· BA/BS required;
· Minimum of 10 years of PR experience in top-tier PR firmsor real estate investment firms;
· Entrepreneurial spirit and independence with superior organizational skills and attention to detail;
· Strong media connections and knowledge of the real estate investment industry is preferred;
· Excellent verbal & written communication skills;
· Experience with online marketing.
