Introduction

As Avenue Bank completes its system conversion to Pinnacle Financial Partners, you will need to modify your Quicken settings to ensure the smooth transition of your data. Please reference the dates next to each task as this information is time sensitive. To complete these instructions, you will need your User ID and Password for the Avenue Bank and Pinnacle Financial Partners websites.

It is important that you perform the following instructions exactly as described and in the order presented. If you do not, your service may stop functioning properly. This conversion should take 15–30 minutes.

Quicken offers several methods for you to connect to Pinnacle Financial Partners – the below describes how to setup the Direct Connect connection to Pinnacle. Using direct connect you can download transactions, initiate transfers and bill payments directly from Quicken. You will have to login to and enable the request for Quicken to retrieve the information.

Documentation and Procedures

Task 1:Conversion Preparation

  1. Backup your data file. For instructions to back up your data file, choose Help menu > Search. Search for Backing Up, select Backing up data files, and follow the instructions.
  2. Download the latest Quicken Update. For instructions to download an update, choose Help menu > Search. Search for Updates, select “Check for Updates,” and follow the instructions.

Task 2:Connect to Avenue Bank for a final download before 6pm CTon9/2/16

  1. Select your account under the Accounts list on the left side.
  1. Choose Accounts menu > Update Selected Online Account.
  2. Repeat this step for each account (such as checking, savings, and loans) that you use for online banking.

Task 3:Deactivate Your Account(s) at Avenue Bankafteryour final download.

1. Select your account under the Accounts list on the left side.

2. Choose Accounts menu Settings.

  1. Remove the checkmark from I want to download transactions.
  1. Click Save.
  2. Click Continue when asked to confirm this deactivation.
  3. Repeat steps 2 – 5 for each account at Avenue Bank.

Task 4:Login to online banking at Pinnacle Financial Partners on or after 10amCT on 9/6/16

2. In the Online Banking login box, input your Avenue (now Pinnacle)online banking access ID and the password.

  1. Once you have logged in for the first time successfully, you are ready to setup your accounts in Quicken.

Task 5:Re-activate Your Account(s) at Pinnacle Financial Partners afteryour first successful login to Pinnacle’s online banking system

1. Select your account under the Accounts list on the left side.

2. Choose Accounts menu > Update Selected Online Account.

  1. Check the box I want to download transactions and click Assist me.
  1. Enter Pinnacle Financial Partners in the Search field and click Continue.
  2. Type your online banking Access ID and Password and click Continue.
  3. You could possibly receive an error message that Quicken encountered an error – this is because the request is pending authorization in online banking. It must be enabled only for this first connection.
  4. Login to You will have an urgent message requesting access from personal finance software. Click the subject to open the message  click the Click here link within the message  Enable the request.
  5. Return to Quicken and repeat the steps 1 thru 5 so that Quicken will try the online request again.

Select “Direct Connect” for the “Connection Type” if prompted.

In the “Accounts Found” screen, ensure you associate each new account to the appropriate account already listed in Quicken. Under the Action column, select “Link” to pick your existing account. Please contact Pinnacle Financial Partners Client Service Center at (800) 264-3613 if you need additional assistance.

Do NOT select “ADD” under the action column.

  1. Quicken may download past history that you already have in your register, but you can review it and only choose the missing transactions to add to your register.
  2. Repeat step 7 for each additional account you wish to download into Quicken.
  3. Click Continue.
