Box Challenge Answers or Solutions

Benchmark assessment results show or post gains for most students!

We want to continue this trend.

Unit 4 include learning about inequalities, how to graph inequalities,

and how to solve basic inequalities.

This week continue to learn how to solve basic one-step equations.

Continue practice evaluating expressions and equations for real world solutions.

(Area, Distance, and Volume).

To solve equations or inequalities you will need to balance the equations or apply the inverse operation

to free or isolate the variable.

1st Period- Focus on solving equations and solving and graphing inequalities.

Advanced Class Geometry Labs

Review assigned Geometry lessons in USATESTPREP. (Required)

Students will work on calculating area, volume, and surface area.

Students need to know Area formulas for triangles, parallelograms, trapezoids, rectangles, and squares.

A helpful resource is the 6th Grade Common Core Coach Book for 6th Grade Mathematics.

Section is Domain 4- Geometry pg 167-197.

ISBN-13:978-1-61997-105-9

The Khan Academy resources are also an excellent resource for videos.

Video Topics Projects: (Pending)

Each student needs to do research on their video topics.

We will plan to start work on pulling data for these videos (Friday).

Each students group will need to plan to produce at least 2 minutes of video covering or explaining their topic.

(Each group should have an outline or sketch of what will be covered in their video.)

Groups that are moving ahead may already have video or film in draft format to show.

Main objective is to have an organized approach for completing the project and ensuring it

will meet the 2 minute or 120 second rubric guideline.
