Contribution from the Charitable Foundation of the Energy Bar Association will aid New Jersey Families Facing Financial Crisis To Pay Their Utility Bills

Ewing, NJ. May 8, 2008. The Charitable Foundation of the Energy Bar Association (CFEBA) presented New Jersey SHARES with a check for $3,667 to assist households that may have fallen behind on their utility bills due to a temporary financial crisis.

“Many households in New Jersey, through no fault of their own struggle to pay their utility bills,” said Jim Jacob of New Jersey SHARES. “We are proud of the commitment this check represents. Being recognized by a national organization re-affirms our efforts to provide direct and meaningful assistance to New Jersey neighbors in need throughout our state. During these increasingly difficult economic times more and more of our neighbors are facing tough financial choices. Support from organizations such as CFEBA is one of the reasons New Jersey SHARES has been able to help over 127,000 families and individuals statewide since our inception in 1998.”
