Luxury Vacation Project
Objective: To better understand the basic Word Processing skills used trough Microsoft Office –Word 2010.
I want you to think of your dream vacation anywhere in the world, and plan every aspect of the trip.
Please find describe the following information in a packet using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Word
You need to design an itinerary for everyday of your vacation. Start from leaving your house on day 1 to coming back home on day 7.
Describe the following in the itinerary:
1. Starting Destination
2. How you will get to your destination
3. Where you will stay
4. Where you will eat for every meal of the vacation (YOU NEED TO DO REAL RESEARCH AND FIND PLACES TO EAT)
5. Describe and define the timeline for all activities for the day
Plan every detail of the trip with specific TIMES AND places
PowerPoint
Using 15 Slides make a presentation showcasing why someone should go on your vacation. Include pictures and facts.
Include the following information:
How you will travel?
Places you will stay?
Food and Restaurants?
Activities?
Excel
You need to come up with an itemized spreadsheet of all costs that will be incurred during the course of the trip with a total at the end.
You need to include the following information in your spreadsheet:
1. Travel Costs (IE if you fly how much will the plan tickets cost; if you drive figure how much money you will spend on gas)
2. Hotel Costs (Figure how much it will costs per night to stay at your hotel, cruise ship or etc.)
3. Food (Itemize this section in detail in the following sections)
a. Breakfast
b. Lunch
c. Dinner
d. MISC
4. Activities (Fun cost money, describe how much you will be spending on different activities that you will do while gone)
5. Miscellaneous (Cost will incur when you don’t expect them too, take into account the following)
a. Tips
b. Snacks
c. Shopping
d. ETC.
Compile everything and print and turn in. PPT Slides should be printed 3 per page.
