A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE MR. AND MRS. WADE EDISON TALBERT OF HARTSVILLE ON THEIR FIFTIETH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY MARCH 11, 2003, AND TO WISH THEM A JOYOUS CELEBRATION AND MANY MORE YEARS OF HAPPINESS TOGETHER.

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina General Assembly are pleased to have the opportunity to recognize Wade Edison Talbert and Jennie Freeman Talbert on fifty loving years of marriage and wish them many more happy years together; and

Whereas, both Mr. and Mrs. Talbert were born and raised in the Pee Dee region. They attended public schools in the Hartville area and were married on March 11, 1953; and

Whereas, Mr. Talbert has owned and operated Talbert Motors, Incorporated all his life and continues to operate this business in semi-retirement. Mrs. Talbert is a homemaker and wonderful southern cook, and together they have raised three children Scott Talbert, Greg Talbert, and Crystal Minnehan; and

Whereas, they are the beloved and doting grandparents to six wonderful grandchildren and two adorable greatgrandchildren who have brought the Talberts immense joy and pleasure; and

Whereas, W. E. and Jennie are avid sports fans and have enjoyed many years as devoted spectators at their children’s and grandchildren’s many athletic events. They also love to travel; and

Whereas, Mr. and Mrs. Talbert are loyal and faithful members of the first Church of the Nazarene in Hartsville; and

Whereas, on March 8, 2003, the couple will celebrate fifty years of marriage with their children, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and many other friends and family; and

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina General Assembly want Mr. and Mrs. Talbert to know that their thoughts are with them on this splendid occasion and that each member of the General Assembly share in their joy. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the South Carolina General Assembly, by this resolution, congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Wade Edison Talbert of Hartsville on their fiftieth wedding anniversary March 11, 2003, and wish them a joyous celebration and many more years of happiness together.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Mr. and Mrs. Wade Edison Talbert.
