I.Welcome and Call to Order

II.Welcome to new members and/or guests
- Brian Thoren, Woodward (new member); Tim Henry (teacher), Antonio Ramirez, Nicole Frazer (guests)
III.Approval of or Adjustments to Agenda
- Adding magazine to agenda-visit to manufacturing place in magazine/wrote article; Jefferson’s Manufacturing program was recently featured in the January edition of Mold Making Technology.
IV.Follow-Up on Previous Items
- Relay For Life (students and/or their requests)
- Second annual relay for life; April 22nd night and morning
- Idea is a relay carnival, fun for all ages
- Asking for volunteers to supply carnival games and sponsor the event
- Meet every Thursday at enrichment time
- Donating toys for carnival games prizes
- Use Facebook page to click link to make a team
- See attachment for ways to support this student-led project.

- Shark Tank
- What business would help Rockford economy?
- Need people coming in to explain to students how to start business
- Operations, finance, space, marketing, competition, etc.
- Sharks- volunteers; second week in may Tuesday through Friday, 3rd & 8th hour
- Want volunteers to ask hard questions and drill them with questions to help ideas

V.Teacher Reports and Requests (Outcome: Requests met or referred to CCRC)
- None
- Airplane simulator with airplane cabin- basic training airplane
VI. Action Items
- Combined March meeting?
- HPS Academy Support Team proposed doing a combined meeting with all 4 academies
- To hear what each academy is working on, to network, to enjoy an afternoon snack and for JHS to show appreciation to our AST members
- Voted in all three academies except here- no objections
- Combined March meeting instead of April meeting
- Tuesday before spring break March 21?
B. Field trip to Skilled Trades
1. Review renovations/ purchases
2. Advise on further work needed/ purchases to consider
3. Show student work in progress (Other projects to consider?)
C. “Real-work world” problems EMITT students can “solve”
- Example: Crusader Clinic needed a customer satisfaction survey- students are working on it, once a week, doing data analysis currently
- Ventilation, lumber crib, other projects staff members have in mind
