A. Early Years Window of Focus
1) 1) Best Start Network Meeting November 9
a) Members reviewed draft revision of TOR.
b) Members reviewed Collective Impact Logic Model and mapped current goals/activities to
each of the goals. These will be prioritized at December meeting
c) Workgroup name changed to Early Years Service Providers Workgroup
2) Sub Committee working on Response to EDI Outcomes (Cathy Millard) Meeting
November 29, 2017
a) Members reviewed Facebook and social media messages for each of the subdomains of EDI physical domain (Gross motor skills, fine motor skills, school readiness)
b) Messages will be sent out in a planned sequence with EKIOC taking the lead for Facebook and Twitter messages. These will be posted on website with a link to social media sites.

3) Canada’s New 24 Hour Movement Guidelines for Children in the Early Years

B. School Age
1) Youth Service Providers – Youth Collective Impact Workgroup (Tawnya
Boileau, Sue Poldervaart, Brent Dalgleish, Margaret Fancy) \
· Working on setting up youth focus groups to review/provide feedback on Youth CI plan.
2) Power Up Summit Part 2 – November 24
· Approximately 80 in attendance
· Youth heard about current youth-lead initiatives in the area and were challenged to take up the challenge of getting involved in an issue that resonated
· Youth will stay connected through social media
· Tawnya was able to get a start on youth focus groups by posing the following questions:

3) Grant Application for Youth Wellness Hub in Kemptville
Community partners are meeting regularly to plan for the application. They include
Kemptville General Hospital, CMHLG, LLG Mental Health and Addictions, RNJ, Health Unit,
FCS with other partners supporting through letters of support and/or commitment to use of
space. Lorena will speak to this at Lead Table meeting. (Application is due December
15).
4) Read to Every Kid – (Margaret Williams) Meeting December 15
· A grant application for funding to support French RTEK has been submitted (thanks to Emily and Sue Higgins for their work on this!)
· I will be making a presentation to Rotary Club in Brockville to secure more funding for
the program
C. Intersection
1) Poverty Reduction Alliance – (Loretta Corbeil)
Next Meeting December 11
2) Transportation Committee – (Michael Stanley)
Michael will present a proposed plan at Lead Table for your review/approval.
3) Healthy Kids Community Challenge –
· A draft plan has been submitted to the Ministry
· Theme: Power Off and Play!
· There will be an opportunity for community funding proposals
4) Triple P (Cathy Millard)
· “Data Meeting” held November 16 to develop a survey to capture what is happening with Triple P in various communities
· Draft survey has been developed and distributed to workgroup members for feedback
· Discussion on support that managers supporting Triple P practitioners might need.
· Next Workgroup Meeting – December 7 1:30 Health Unit
5) ASD
A survey related to respite services has been distributed for relevant community partners.
