ADDITIONAL MINISTER OF HOLY COMMUNION : This morning at 9.30 a.m. John Newbold will be commissioned as an Additional Minister of Holy Communion. Please pray for him and his family.

FUNERAL : The Funeral of Tom Wilson, whose death was announced last week, will be on Friday at 11.30 a.m. followed by burial in Wyre Forest Cemetery. May he rest in peace.

MRS YATES : A letter of thanks has been received from Mrs Marie Yates, thanking us for her retirement celebration and assuring us that it was an honour for her to be our Head Mistress. She enclosed a card, thanking parishioners for the generous cheque that we were able to give her. The card is now placed on the School Notice Board at the back of St Ambrose’s Church.

BAPTISMS : This afternoon there are three Baptisms in the Parish. We welcome Rocco Giacchino Eddery, Isla Elizabeth Parker and Amelie Honey Payton.

REST IN PEACE : Edith Combes, of Tenbury, died last week. Her Funeral will be in St Mary’s, Tenbury, next Thursday at 1.00 p.m. and we will be represented at her Funeral by Jenny Moore who will take part in the Funeral Service.

TEAS AND COFFEES : Coffees and teas will be provided in the Borromeo Hall after 9.30 a.m. Mass by the UCM and next Sunday by the Brownies/FOSAS.

MAY PROCESSION : Our May Procession in honour of Our Lady begins in St Ambrose’s at 6.30 p.m. We shall process her Statue through the grounds and we hope to conclude with the Crowning of the Statue in the Rectory Garden. Sheila Skitt will crown Our Lady on behalf of the whole Parish. We will conclude with tea, thanks to the good offices of the ladies of the Union of Catholic Mothers.

SOCIETY OF ST VINCENT de PAUL : The next meeting takes place on Monday, 13th May at 10.00 a.m. in the Hall (Montino Room). New members welcome.

THE UNION OF CATHOLIC MOTHERS will meet on Monday, 13th May in the Borromeo Hall at 7.30 p.m.

KIDDERMINSTER DEANERY : The Clergy of the Kidderminster Deanery will meet at St Mary’s, Harvington on Tuesday for a Day of Recollection, to be given by Dom Geoffrey Scott OSB, the Abbot of Donai.

COMMUNITY MEETING IN TENBURY : Members of the Tenbury Community are invited to meet in the Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday May 14th at 7.00 pm in order to plan a Calendar of Events and discuss any other items associated with our parishioners who worship there.

BIBLE STUDY : There will be no meeting on 15th May. You are most welcome to join us for a discussion of the Scriptures on Wednesday, 5th June at 2.00 p.m. at Our Lady’s, Habberley.

CATHOLIC MEN’S SOCIETY : The next meeting of the Catholic Men’s Society will be in the Rectory on Wednesday May 15th at 7.30 pm and there will be a discussion about the Year of Faith, and our progress so far. This is the third bulletin of the annual Planned Discussion promoted by the Society. All men of the Parish will be welcome.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION : The next meeting for preparation for First Holy Communion will be in the School Hall next Wednesday at 6.30 p.m.

AMBROSIAN GROUP : The Group meet for their monthly shared lunch on Thursday from 11.45 a.m. in St Ambrose’s Parish Hall. New members most welcome.

PACT Meeting at Our Lady’s and St Pius X, Habberley 16th May at 6.30 p.m.

BELMONT ABBEY : Those intending to take part in the Day of Recollection for Additional Ministers of Holy Communion at Belmont Abbey on May 25th are asked to sign the lists in our Churches today. Our booking will be made during the coming week.

KIDDERMINSTER VALENTINES in Concert at St Anne’s Church, Bewdley on 25th May at 7.30 p.m. in aid of The Alzheimers Society. They will be joined by the Bridgnorth MVC. Tickets are £6 from Judy Morris 01562 751753.

YORK PILGRIMAGE : On June 25th the UCM are organising a trip to York to visit the shrine of Margaret Clitherow and the Bar Convent, to coincide with the 100 years anniversary of the UCM this year. Father Lamb will be saying a Mass at the Convent’s chapel. Lists will be up at the back of churches for those wishing to come along, to give us an idea of numbers.

HOG ROAST : Sunday 14th July in the Rectory Garden. Whole spit-roasted hog plus other meats with mixed salads, sauces, breads and a buffet table full of desserts. Printed and numbered tickets must be purchased in advance before Friday, 12th July £6.50 per person – children free. Tickets are available from the Rectory or the Adams Lounge. All profits to the Parish. 2.30 pm start until late evening – bar open!

FINANCES : i. Thank you for the Offertory of £985.14. (Envelope Scheme £337.50), Loose £647.64).

ii. Donations to CAFOD were £44.31.

iii. An additional £54.03 has been added to our Clergy Training Fund collection.

iv. Thanks to our Whist players for a further donation of £100.

v. The Tenbury Collection for the Bamenda Fund raised £45.35.

vi. The Parish has received £45 in memory of Veronica Jones RIP.
