Forbo Flooring Systems is introducinga tactile option to the Tessera loop pile family of carpet tiles following a refreshof its Tessera Inline collection. The range is designed to complement the colours inTessera Layout enablingnaturally flowing design schemes. Tessera Inline’s chunky texture and broken linearity aesthetic can equally be used to create an individual look all of its own.

Designed to maintain its appearance, even in the most demanding heavily trafficked areas, Tessera Inline can be installed in any part of a building that requires a contemporary yet durable floor covering solution.

With a soft linear design that is composed of two tonally balanced shades from the Tessera Layout range the collection can be installed in a variety of methods, such as monolithic and tessellated, to create a variety of floor designs. It can be installed alongside the Tessera Layout Outline carpet tiles and Allura Flex loose lay LVT without the need for transition strips.

The collection is available in 10 contemporary colourways ranging from very dark tones, like the black Onyx, to lighter shades that achieve high light reflectance values (LRV) such as the on-trend grey shade Steam. Indeed, light affects almost all vital processes in the human body and impacts people’s performance, health, safety and sense of well-being[1], so it is important to install floor coverings that can maximise any form of lighting within a building.

Janet Lowe, UK Market Manager at Forbo Flooring Systems, comments: “With our newly launched Tessera Layout and Outline collection being very well received, we decided to refresh the Tessera Inline collection to become part of the family –offering users a wider portfolio of co-ordinated plains, stripes and patterns.

“In addition to creating new colourways, we have also changed the way in which we manufacture the tiles; they now have a chunkier texture which has improved the impact sound reduction qualities from 22dB to 25dB helping end users to create a comfortable and quiet environment.”

The Tessera Inline collection, like all of Forbo’s tufted carpet tiles, produced in the UK has over 50% recycled content by weight and the installation and production waste can be recycled back into the Tessera tiles through the company’s ‘Back to the floor’ scheme. It also meets the Ska rating criteria for M12 soft floor coverings.
