Animoto Video Infomercial
Animoto Infomercial length – 2 minutes no more than 4 minutes
This infomercial is to be informative and tries to create some kind of emotional response from the viewer.
Your produced infomercial needs …
1. To clearly state your position on the topic/issue
2. To clearly state 3 different reasons, supporting your position.
3. To include 3-6 (or more) additional facts about your topic/issues
4. To include additional pertinent text, giving the audience enough information to understand what the infomercial is about.
5. To provide a solution(s), how to solve, what to do, how to help etc…
6. To include at least 12 different images that support your topic/issue
o You need to enhance (edit) images using Pixlr Express. www.pixlr.com
o Enhance (edit) at least 2 image clips (more if you like).
7. To make sure the images are not blurry (No yellow triangles).
o Correct blurry pictures using the Pixlr Express option and adjust the resolution.
o REMEMBER…sometimes you can’t get a clearer image. If this happens, try to download the image (not the thumbnail). This may help.
8. To select a music clips that enhances the infomercial
9. To ensure the 1st clip is a title clip
10. To have your first and last name on a “Produced by…” clip at the beginning and/or the end of the video
11. To adjust the pacing to ensure it is easy to view and read…it is not rushed.
o At least 4 seconds, no more than 6 seconds, between each clip
o For a two minute video this is about 24-30 clips.
12. To make sure the template style “works” with your images and text.
13. To view your video on the ENO board to make sure the text is easy to read.
14. To produce the final copy of your infomercial.
15. To be turned in via Google Classroom on or before the established due date
16. To be presented to your class for review
17. To be prepare to answer questions and/or defend your position
