Novoceram, a French manufacturer of ceramic since 1863, presents its «Grands Millésimes» booth: a wine-growing, in the heart of a vineyard, expresses the contemporary vision of the French tradition and savoir faire and that opens its doors at Cersaie 2016, the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings, in Bologna, Italy.

When the grape harvest for that year is exceptional, the winemaker can create a wine that is equally extraordinary, that originates from the tradition of the style of the wine house, to breathe life, only once, into a unique concert of aromas that is classified as Grands Millésimes.This year the ideas of Novoceram, a French producer of ceramics since 1863, have found a way to stray from the path of tradition of the brand, while still remaining faithful to a pathway that is more than a hundred-years old.

The ceramic grape harvest of 2016 has led to the creation of five unique collections, five 2016 Grands Millésimes designs worthy of a stage that is able to enhance their uniqueness: a pathway to live and sample that leads to the new Novoceram “Grands Millésimes” stand that opens its doors in Bologna from September 26 to September 30, at Cersaie 2016, the International Trade Fair of Ceramics for Architecture and Bathroom Furnishing.

Just like a family castle in the heart of a vineyard, Grands Millésimes is a wine-growing family estate created by Francesco Catalanoin a modern and minimal style that best expresses the contemporary vision of the French tradition and savoir faire.

From the vine to the glass, from earth to ceramics, the five exclusive cru of Novoceram fuse the epicurean pleasure of the palate with that of the eyes and touch: Indigo, the irreverent interpretation in a pop style of the traditional white and blue azulejos, Oz, a ceramic stone with a character that leaves no room for compromise, Jasper with its rich veining, Kobe a fine stone of Japanese inspiration, Tablon the ceramic wood for outdoor chic with a rustic effect.

THE COMPANY

The story of Novoceramstarted in 1863 in Saint-Vallier-sur-Rhône. With its 4 million m2 of annual production, 40 million Euros of sales, a production site surface of 90,000 m2 and170 employees, the company is one of the leading producers of ceramic tiles in France. The first French ceramic tile company to obtain the Ecolabel award and the only French ceramic producer to obtain the ISO 14001 certification for its environmental management system, since 2000 Novoceram has been part of the Gruppo Concorde, one of the largest producers of ceramic tiles in Europe.

THE DESIGNER

Francesco Catalano is the designer behind all the booths and exhibition spaces of Novoceram. He is Marketing Manager and Art Director for the company and owner of his own interior design firmbased in Reggio Emilia (Italy) specialized in bold, unconventional interiors for commercial and residential environments. His work is recognized throughout the design community, winning awards like the prestigious Etoile of the Observeur du Design, in France, and several nominations to the Compasso d’Oro, in Italy. He is also a prolific author of marketing books and articles. In 2010 he founded the blogGorgonia where he shares his knowledge about marketing and design.
