William Travis and Jim Bowie
Do you know why the Texans and the Mexicans fought over the Alamo? Well I’m not doing that. You know them commanders William Travis and Jim Bowie? Well if you don’t I’m going to compare them in this paper.
Jim Bowie loved to drink a lot. When Jim got to the Alamo he met this Mexican woman and they got married. James Bowie wanted control over the Travis and he won, Travis didn’t like that. Bowie was sick and they that he had a disease called Typhoid Pneumonia. This Mexican lady came in and did something, she told his wife that he’s already dead and that’s his death bed. So when the battle started the Mexicans came in, but Jim shot two of the Mexican men then he try to grab but they stab him multiple of times and he died.
William Travis wanted to get divorced by his wife, but he kept his son but not his daughter. Travis also wanted control and he everybody to vote and he lost. The Mexicans fired an cannon that explodes when it hits the ground, so Travis pick it up and he fired it back at the Mexican, he told everybody to fire each cannon at the Mexican. Travis sent letters to everybody in Texas to see if they can help them but only one said they will, so Travis gave a speech about to soldiers to tell them that most of the people said they couldn’t come because they wouldn’t have enough soldiers to help them. Travis didn’t like that because they were out number. It was night time and everybody was asleep, Travis was in his room writing letters to his family and his son then out of nowhere he heard a shot fire and he got out of his chair and went outside. The fight had already started and he was shock. So the battle of the Alamo raged on and Travis was shooting at someone else and a Mexican shot him right in the head and he died immediately.
So that’s the end of this story so I hope this help you to know who the commanders was and what happened to them
