MCYHA Board Meeting Minutes

CIPHL Rep Report - Meeting was via email. All-Star Games will be Feb 20th Varsity 7:30 and JV 5:45 All-Star game.

LLHH Rep Report - Meeting minutes posted on their website. All-Star game on Feb 19th.Meeting tomorrow night. League will pick goalies, coaches will pick 5 skaters.Trying to get mic fees back.

Director of Hockey Operations Report – Chris Holstein officially resigned from our coaching staff. Senior Night was a success, great support from parents. Per AWAI, girls hockey team, Tier II, cannot be sponsored by MCYHA because we are a “high school”. We could be an affiliate for them.

Registrar’s Report –. Nothing to report.

Vice President’s Report – helped facilitate the JV tournament.One disciplinary issue with varsity player this month.

Secretary’s Report – no report.

Treasurers’ Report - Nicole is out. We’re looking to do one last payment.

President’s Report: to check on suspension for Austin Kuznik.

New/Unfinished/Outstanding Business:

  • Non-USA citizen – not eligible per USAH regulations, waiting for approval from USA Hockey.
  • Banquet (Diane) – Looking at Biaggi’s. Players to be free, additional family members will be $10.
  • Coaches Meeting (Diane) – Schedule one this month.
  • Letterman jacket letters and pins (Diane) – Jackets are in, waiting on patches. Hockey pins are given instead of a letter for player already with a letter. David will do a spreadsheet on who has letter.
  • Website - training at a future date
  • Calendar of Events/Planning (Dave)–working on a what-to-do and when.
  • Board Manual/Tribal Knowledge (Mark) – Steve and Dee to put electronic files on a flash drive.
  • Spring Ice – Bloomington doing a Spring House league. We want to start summer development camp in June. John Boris will run some of the sessions. August will change from development into conditioning. Get 2 hours a week for June thru August.
