Project description:

In this oral presentation to the class, you will describe to the class yourself as a child and the person you are today.

Part 1 – The written part

·  Section A: This section will consist of tales that describe you AS A SMALL CHILD (use the imperfect tense) (1) what you used to look like; (2) your personality and why; (3) things you used to do; (4) likes and dislikes; (5) places you used to go.

·  Section B: The second section will describe the same items above but as they reflect you

TODAY (use the present tense) (1) what you look like; (2) your personality and why; (3)

things you do; (4) likes and dislikes; (5) places you go.

Part 2 – The visual and oral presentation

Using a presentation format of your choice (i.e. tri-fold poster, Powerpoint, etc) or combination, you present your timeline to the class. The pictures used for the illustration can be original drawings, pictures, or clip art. No words should be written in the type of presentation format you choose.

Other:
In your presentation, use a variety of vocabulary words from the CURRENT vocabulary list and other words you have learned in Spanish levels 1 and 2. A draft of the oral presentation will be written in class only. No online translators can be used. Any word you look up in the dictionary MUST BE approved by me. The draft must be neatly hand written. All materials must be turned in daily during the writing process. No work may be taken home. The final copy (having been edited) must be typed and be a similar script as your rough draft.

Important notes:

1)  If you are using PowerPoint, be sure to save the PowerPoint file to a flash/thumb drive. DO NOT send me an E-MAIL to access your PowerPoint; your project will be counted late. You will present regardless of whether or not we have Internet access; therefore do not rely on the student drive on the server.

2)  You may not use any notes on your presentation day. Therefore, you need to practice, practice, practice. The only prompt is your visual aid. It is a good idea to write out what you are going to say in order to organize your thoughts and practice; HOWEVER, on your presentation day you cannot read from any written notes.

Due date:

Your project is due on . This project will count as a 100 point MAJOR grade. All students must present to receive a grade.
