ISLAM ACCORDING TO THE FACTS

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:21).

Islam is the sum of two parts: the teaching of the Koran and what Muhammad said and did as found in “the traditions of the Prophet Muhammad.” The purpose of this study is two-fold: to prove that Islam is a violent religion, and that terrorists act upon what Muhammad has said, done, and approved. An important point to understand is that the Koran is what Muhammad says it is. The Koran teaches: “Follow Muhammad and you will be successful in the afterlife” (Koran 3:132). Terrorist killings, bombings, cutting off heads, and marrying under-aged girls—these are examples of what Muhammad did. To terrorists, these crimes are holy acts. Muslims, the followers of Islam, believe that Muhammad is the last prophet, being greater than Moses and Jesus Christ, whom they accept as prophets. Muhammad is the key to understanding Islam and Islamic terrorism.

Allah is the god of Islam. Evidence supports that Allah is the moon-god, which would make Islam a Satanic religion because the moon-god is an idol, and all idols are devils (Psalm 106:37). For centuries, the moon-god was the god among the pagans of Mesopotamia, including the Assyrians, Babylonians, and Akkadians. At Mecca, the birthplace of Muhammad, the moon-god was the chief idol among the 360 that were housed in the Kabah (a polytheist sanctuary in ancient times per Britannica.com.) “When Muhammad’s forces conquered Mecca in 630, he ordered the destruction of the pagan idols housed in the shrine and ordered it cleansed of all signs of polytheism. The Kaʿbah has since been the focal point of Muslim piety” (Britannica.com). Since the idol Allah was at Mecca, Muslims pray towards Mecca.

The Islamic symbol is the crescent moon that was inspired by the one carved on the chest of the stone idol, Allah. The crescent moon can be found on flags of Islamic nations. Sin was the name of the moon-god, and Allah was his title. Allah means “the deity.” To pagans, Allah was the greatest god of the 360 idol gods. Muhammad elevated Allah from the greatest to the “only god.” According to the Encyclopedia of Religion (ed. James Hastings, Edinburgh, T & T Clark, 1908, 1:326), “‘Allah’ is a pre-Islamic name… corresponding to the Babylonian Bel.” For a complete study of Allah, go to www.biblebelievers.org.au/moongod.htm. Allah and Jehovah are certainly not the same. Jehovah is the Creator God, while Allah is an idol god.

The Bible cautions Christians to not worship heavenly bodies (Deuteronomy 4:19; 17:2-3; 2 Kings 21:3, 5; Jeremiah 8:2, etc), such as the moon-god in the case of Islam. A typical example is from Deuteronomy 17:2-3, wherein God warns the Israelites not to be found “Transgressing his covenant and hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded.” The moon-god, being the god of Islam, violates God’s command to not worship the heavenly bodies, making it a religion for Israelites to avoid.

You will see that Islam is not a religion of peace and forgiveness, but of war and violence, which is exactly what the world has always seen. This study will explain why Islamic leaders can read from the Koran verses of purporting peace, but terrorists can read verses supporting war—jihad. A verse prompting peace from Muhammad’s ministry at Mecca is found in the Koran 2:109: “Many of the People of the Scripture (Bible) wish they could turn you back to disbelief after you have believed, out of envy from themselves (even) after the truth had become clear to them. So pardon and overlook until Allah delivers His command. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.” A verse promoting war/violence from Muhammad’s later ministry at Medina says this: “Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture (fight) until they give the jizyah (tax) willingly while they are humbled” (Koran 9:29). Another: “And fight them until there is no fitnah (heretical uprising) and (until) the religion, all of it, is for Allah. And if they cease – then indeed, Allah is seeing of what they do” (Koran 8:39). Knowing the history of Muhammad will explain this dichotomy between peace and war. In addition to the Koran, which is much smaller book than the Bible, there are also the Sunnah and Hadith. These books, of which there are many volumes, give “the traditions of the prophet Muhammad.” Islam, then, is the sum total of the Koran and “the traditions of the prophet Muhammad.”

Muslims rightly believe that the father of the Arabs is Ishmael, the son of Abraham and Hagar. What is seen today with the criminal activity of Islamic Arabs is the fulfillment of this biblical prediction about them: “Ishmael…will be a wild man, his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him” (Genesis 12:16). The fulfilling of this prophecy started with Muhammad. According to Shakespeare, “What is past is prologue” (Tempest). Therefore, this is a study of Muhammad (570-633 AD), which is found in the Koran and “the traditions of the prophet Muhammad.”

The Koran teaches that Muhammad is the best example for Muslims to follow. This is the key to understanding Islam and terrorism. Also, it teaches that Muhammad should be followed. Allah said this: “In God’s messenger you have a fine model for someone who looks forward to (meeting) God and the Last Day, and mentions God frequently” (Koran 33:21). Solomon Nigosian, an Egyptian who moved to Canada and lived as a professing Christian, said this: “For more than thirteen hundred years Muslims have modeled their lives after their prophet Muhammad. They awaken every morning as he awakened; they eat as he ate; they wash as he washed; and they behave even in the minutest acts of daily life as he behaved” (source, DVD on Islam by Randall Terry, Islamic Scholar).

While at Mecca in AD 610, Muhammad believed he received from God, through the angel Gabriel, revelations that would one day form Islam. These revelations were preceded by dreams, which are reported to have been fulfilled in Muhammad’s life prior to Gabriel’s revelations. For three years after these revelations, Muhammad preached the Islamic message only to his family. It is important to know that that Mecca was a pagan-religious center. Everyone was pagan. By his account, he was told by Allah, to go public with the Islamic doctrine. The pagans did not like his message, however, as they viewed it a threat to their idols (360 of them) and to the lucrative pilgrimage business that came to Mecca, where their idols were housed in the Kabah.

With the Islamic message being unpopular among the pagans, even to the point where they desired to kill him, he fled to Medina with his small following, hoping for a more receptive people there. Initially, they were receptive; but that quickly changed. When Muhammad learned of a large caravan of valuable goods coming from Syria, he decided to attack it, which would hurt the pagan trade, and take the booty with a ragtag army of about 300 untrained men. This resulted in the battle of Badr (AD 624), which led to the turning point in the life and ministry of Muhammad. When the caravan leaders learned of the plot, they, in turn, organized an army of about 1,000 men and 200 horses. The situation appeared hopeless for Muhammad because he was out numbered three to one in men, plus the horses the opposition had. Surprise! Muhammad’s men won the battle. He and his men believed that God had blessed them with victory by sending angels to cut off heads with swords. Thus, Muslims’ practice of cutting off heads has come from the Badr victory, in which Muhammad and his men believe they saw angels cutting off the heads of the enemy.

The Badr victory inspired Muhammad to believe his message was right and that Allah was with him. Badr sparked warfare as the means Muhammad would use to inspire conversions to Islam. Post Bahr began a worldwide movement of Islam with the murder of countless of thousands by sword, then the gun that continues today. Koran 8:12-14 gives insight: “So your Lord inspired the angels: ‘I am with you, so brace those who believe. I shall cast panic into the hearts of those who disbelieve; so to strike the nape of their necks and beat every (last) fingertip of theirs. That is because they have split off from God and His messenger. Anyone who splits off from God and His messenger (will find out) that God is stern in punishment. That is (how it is), so taste it; disbelievers will have fiery torment.’” It can be gleaned from this Koran passage that to oppose Muhammad is to oppose Allah. This, then, leads to Islam being what Muhammad says it is. To bring the world to Allah by violence is the method Muhammad chose to advance Islam. Understand that though there are good, peaceful Muslims, Islam is a religion of violence and evil. Simply speaking, it is Satanic. Another Koran teaching that elevates Muhammad as the person to follow in order to be a true Muslim is Koran 9:80: “He who obeys the Messenger has obeyed Allah.”

“Abrogation” must be understood to comprehend Islam and terrorist activity. Recall that Muhammad’s message began as peaceful and forgiving and lasted until the battle of Badr, which was near Medina; then, Muhammad chose violence to promote Islam. According to Randall Terry (Islamic scholar), Louay Fatoohi, a Muslim author, made this statement: “The latter, then, are seen as the rulings that shall be followed by Muslims.” What this means is that the last things said and done by Muhammad replace those things said and done earlier in his ministry. Violence is the latter message, while peaceful activity is the former. This is abrogation. Mecca was the peaceful time and Medina the violent time. Surah 16:101: “Whenever we shift a verse from its context in favor of another verse …SAY: ‘The Holy Spirit has brought it down as Truth from your Lord.’” A Muslim Brotherhood slogan confirms that Muhammad’s ways are their ways: "God is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. The Qur'an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of God is our highest hope. God is greater!” (Wikipedia). Essentially, it is understood that Muhammad divided the world into two divisions: the “house of war,” which would be the land of the infidel, and the “house of Islam,” the land of Shariah law. Violence is the tool used to inspire the infidel to become Muslim or else be killed.

You may have noticed that mocking and insulting Muhammad are punishable by death. This is because that is what Muhammad did to Ka’b ibn al-Ashraf after the battle of Badr. Ka’b had been mocking Muhammad, so one of Muhammad’s men cut off Ka’b’s head at the command of Muhammad. Further, those in Mecca who had mocked him earlier in his ministry suffered death also. Because this is what Muhammad did, terrorists following his example killed Theo Van Gogh. He produced a short film critical of the Muslim treatment of women. Of course, Muhammad mistreated women, allowing his men to rape them, for example. Charlie Hebdo was also killed for publishing twelve cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad. Muslim scholars support such violence. Muslim scholar Taymiyya states, “Furthermore, more than one scholar conveyed the unanimous agreement of Muslim scholars that whoever insults or degrades the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) is a Kafir (unbeliever) that should be killed”(Fatwas of Ibn Baz, Part # 6, p. 254).

Muhammad targeted forty-three situations for killing (wikiislam.net) during his lifetime. Ka’b was one individual of the forty-three. In a group killing, wikiislam.net gives this account: “Attack Banu Qurayza because according to Muslim tradition he had been ordered to do so by the angel Gabriel. One of Muhammad's companions decided that ‘the men should be killed, the property divided, and the women and children taken as captives.’ Muhammad approved of the ruling, calling it similar to God's judgment, after which all male members of the tribe who had reached puberty were beheaded.” Between 600 and 900 non-Muslim men were beheaded in this attack (627 AD).

When Muhammad’s wife died at Mecca, he married a five-year old girl. While living in Medina, he consummated the marriage when she was nine. This is a pattern for Muslims to follow as a believer in Islam. Some Muslims would go to battle to capture a female as a concubine slave. One of Muhammad’s men had nineteen slave girls. Thus, for ISIS members to rape Jewish and Christian women is a holy practice because per Allah, Muhammad is the one to follow.

Some of the Christian world does not understand the Islamic world. Jerry Falwell, Jr., President and Chancellor of Liberty University, recently encouraged students to apply for concealed weapons permits to protect themselves from terrorist attack. This advice is wise and shows understanding of the situation. He also said, “I’ve always thought that if more good people had concealed-carry permits, then we could end those Muslims before they walked in…and kill them.” But Falwell’s statement did not set well with Wheaton College student leadership. According to a Chicago Tribune article by Manya Pashman (Dec 11), the “end those Muslims” comment angered a coalition of student leaders of Wheaton College. By open letter, they chided Falwell by saying, “While these sorts of remarks epitomize the ever-growing fear and hostility directed toward Muslims, we as Evangelical Christians hold that Christ calls us not to react to religious oppression or violence—instead, we have the responsibility to live out fearless love in order to pursue unity. We, therefore, reject the ideology espoused by chancellor Falwell in his recent remarks to the Liberty student body, and we invite you to stand in solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters who share our human dignity.” These misguided, biblically ignorant students cannot discern between a personal enemy and God’s enemy. Islam is the enemy of Jehovah God and does not qualify for believers of Islam to be called “our Muslim brothers and sisters who share our human dignity” (Pashman). These students obviously know nothing of Islam. They apparently do not know of the many Muslim terrorist attacks and killing innocent people by gun and beheadings. Truth: since Muhammad, Islam has no respect for human dignity—period! Sadly, these future Christian leaders do not have wise leaders over them to give biblical guidance. For example, according to Wheaton College administrators, “We are grateful that our emerging leaders are encouraging other Christians to treat and to speak about our Muslim neighbors in loving and respectful ways” (Pashman).
