Ruth provided a brief on rural generalist program model for Victoria
Forecast GP proceduralist shortages 6 -12 months WDHS, SWHC Camperdown 1 GP retirement plans– 18 months.
Action; Ruth to forward discussion paper & Vic Rural Generalist advisory group paper to Lauren for circulation to members, by June 15th. (Attachment √).
Midwifery workforce OK at present, resignations DON positions (THS, PDH, and CAH).
Medical Specialist outreach program (MSOP), extended to include allied health. Jenny S has had initial discussion with MSOP. Funding goes to the practitioner (Federal funding). Joan meeting with the group next Tuesday 14th.
Action; Joan to provide further information about the program to the group by next meeting.
:Lauren Highlighted new initiative providing back fill for up to 14 days supporting workforce to attend CPD out of local community.
Action; Lauren to contact the program and circulate a brief report to SC members and regional services by next meeting. .

Final plans being arranged with Glyn Teale & Debbie Rodgers. Focus on strategic planning collaborative maternity care at CAH.

Currently in draft form open for comment and feedback. Guidelines and feedback template circulated to regional services. Closing date 27th June.

Regional M&M meeting / Ami has investigated midwifery rotation opportunities with Barwon Health. Positive discussions need further clarification re actual needs of w/force.

Joan reported that the RMSP has been funded for next 12 months, current CMCs extended contract 3 months; to meet industrial requirements will be re advertised in 3 months, contract then for 9 months.
Lauren flexible on site visits (single sessions, ½ day or full day)

Pregnancy Care Workshop July 2nd. Great response, a few spaces left. 50% GPs / 50% midwives. Aligned CPD points through professional bodies.
Action; registrations through Otway div GPs. Waiting list possibilities.
Evaluation report provided by Lauren, services happy with template. Tina suggested adding capability / capacity variances into the reporting template. Suggested regional meeting date early November, includes GPs and relevant allied health clinicians.
Ruth suggested develop a code of conduct (set of rules),
Chris identified the need to have a FIO – clients de identified aligned to privacy / confidentiality requirements. The application and the event should attract CPD points
