Dear All-Star:
Congratulations on being selected to participate in the 2018 Florida Athletic Coaches Association
All-Star Basketball Game. The All-Star Games are scheduled for March 24, 2018 at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland. The Girls Game is set for 11:00 PM and the Boys Game at 1:00 PM. Report times and location for the athletes is listed below and on the All Star Schedule. The FACA has been sponsoring the Boys All Star game since 1949 and added Girls All Star game in 1978.
The SOUTH All-Star Playersreport to the Comfort Inn (3520 US Hwy 98., Lakeland – 863-859-0100) at 2:00 PM on March 23, 2018. (PLEASE BE ON TIME). Equipment (uniforms, t-shirts, gifts, etc.) will begiven out at this time.
The NORTH All-Star Playersreport to the Comfort Inn (3520 US Hwy 98., Lakeland – 863-859-0100) at 3:30 PM on March 23, 2018. (PLEASE BE ON TIME). Equipment (uniforms, t-shirts, gifts, etc.) will begiven out at this time.
We have a room block set aside for All Star players. Player rooms and Friday’s dinner will be paid for by the FACA All-Star Budget. Your transportation to and from Lakeland will be the responsibility of the All-Star Player (parents/coach). Parents or coaches needing a room, at their own expense, should call the Team hotel to make reservations. If the hotel is full, there are others in the area. If you need information on other hotels in the area please call the FACA office.
YOU MUST BE A 2018 GRADUATING SENIOR TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS ALL-STAR GAME.
A practice session has been scheduled for each of the All-Star Teams on Friday, March 23rd. Please see the All Star Schedule included in this packet. Be sure you bring practice gear (including shoes) and white socks for the Game. Bring your high school Game Warmup to wear at the game. Game Uniforms will be furnished by the FACA. You will be able to keep the game uniform.
It is very important that the enclosed forms are completed and returned to the FACA Office IMMEDIATELY.
If for some reason you will be unable to participate in the All-Star Game, please notify the FACA Office immediately (850-727-8117). We are pleased that you have been selected by the coaches of the state to play in the 2018FACA All-Star Classic. We look forward to seeing you in Lakeland.
