ADMISSION IN 2 YEAR DIPLOMA IN VETERINARY PHARMACY COURSE

Applications are invited for admission in 2 year Diploma in Veterinary Pharmacy course for 2008-09 from Indian citizens reside in West Bengal permanently. Minimum eligibility for admission in the course : Passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination from West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with 45% for General, 40% for SC/ST in aggregate and minimum 45% of total marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology for General and 40% for SC/ST. Student of the vocational stream are not eligible for the course.

Age: Maximum age not more than 24 years for General, 27 years for SC/ST candidates as on 1st August, 2008. Total Seats : 20(Twenty). According to rules, seats for SC/ST & PH candidates will be reserved. Every selected candidate will have to pay the fees mentioned below at the time of admission: Admission Fee : Rs. 50/- Tuition Fee : Rs.240/-(monthly Rs.20/- for the first year), Caution Money: Rs.100/-(refundable), Library Fee : Rs.10/-, Laboratory Fee: Rs.20/-, Identity Card Fee : Rs.5/- and Examination Fee : Rs.50/- (should be paid before Examination).

Selection Procedure : According to percentage of total marks obtained in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry & Biology in Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its Equivalent.

N.B. In support of Sl. No.6,8,9,10 self certified copies of certificates must be furnished with the application. No other certificate will be entertained in support of Sl. Scholarship will not be given to the students. There is no guarantee of Govt. service for the candidates after satisfactory completion of the course. List of names of the eligible candidates for counseling and admission will be published possibly on 18th September, 2008 at 12.00 hrs in the above mentioned office of the Director, Institute of Animal Health & Vety. Possible date of counseling and admission in this course is 25th September, 2008 at 12 hrs. at Institute of Animal Health & Vety. Biologicals (IAH&VB), 37, Belgachia Road, Kolkata 700 037. After 21 days of the commencement of the classes to fill up vacant seat (if the attendance of a student remain less than 80% in first 21 days (course day) from the commencement of the classes, then the said seat will be reckoned as a vacant seat) second time counseling for admission will be performed and admission procedure will be maintained from the published merit list/s. The candidates have to present at their own effort on the date of counseling and admission at prescribed time with original mark sheet/s and certificate/s with them.
