Winter Concert Details
for Orchestra and String Ensemble
December 7th, 2016
Senior Orchestra
-Dress Rehearsal- Monday, December 5th: periods 6-7-8 on stage! Come to the auditorium with your instrument and music at the end of 5th period. This dress rehearsal in its entirety is mandatory for participation in the concert. Absence from school is the only exception.
-Concert Assembly- Wednesday, December 7th, 2016 @ 8:30am
-Report to school DRESSED in concert attire, check in at homeroom first (!) and then report immediately to the orchestra room to warm up and tune.
-Assembly will run from 8:30 until approx. 10:00.
-Evening Concert- Wednesday, December 7th, 2016 @ 7:00pm.
-Report to orchestra room at 6:15pm
-Concert begins at 7:00pm.
-Dismissal approximately 8:45pm.

REMAINING 8th PERIOD REHEARSALS: (These rehearsals are not to be missed unless it is for another music ensemble, i.e. chorus or band)
-Thursday 11/17- A Day
-Monday 11/21 no rehearsal because of the Pep Rally- C day
-Tuesday 11//29 -A Day
-Thursday 12/1- C day
-Monday 12/5- Dress rehearsal pds. 6-7-8
String Ensemble
Concert details same as for orchestra.

CONCERT ATTIRE FOR EVERYONE
-Boys: Black shirt, black dress pants, tall black socks (not footies), black dress shoes, tie (String ensemble green bow ties; orchestra boys ties optional but encouraged)
-Girls: black shirt or blouse, String ensemble green bow ties, black dress pants, black socks or black stockings, -OR- LONG black dress and black stockings, black shoes
NO JEANS, HOODIES, SWEATPANTS, TRACK PANTS, T-SHIRTS, OR SNEAKERS ARE TO BE WORN AT ANY TIME WHILE PERFORMING (even if they are black!)
