Overview
The Pisgah National Forest covers over 500,000 acres of forest land across the central mountains of Western North Carolina.This large forest includes lands surrounding the town of Asheville and the French Broad River Valley, and extending into the higher mountains all around. It encompasses some of the highest mountains in the Southern Appalachians, and the Eastern U.S. Tremendous recreational opportunities, including hundreds of miles of trails for hiking and backpacking, abound within its boundaries.

Expectations:
This trip will involve a lot of time spent with a large group of people. It is essential that all participants respect one another and put the needs of the group above their own wants. It is further essential that everyone does their share of cleaning and makes every effort to meet at determined times/locations. Also, there may be significant time apart from trip leaders on this trip. You are ultimately responsible for your own actions, and may be dismissed from the trip at your own expense at any time.EKU Adventure Programs

Tentative Itinerary:
4:00pm: Meet at Fitness & Wellness Center
4:15pm: Depart for NC!
8:00pm: Arrive at Camp
9:00 am: Wake-up/start hiking
5:00pm: Back to camp, make dinner
9:00am Wake up
4:00pm: Depart for Richmond
8:00pm: Arrive at Fitness & Wellness Center
