The Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme
Silver Award Examiner Assessment Course
Sunday 22nd November 2015
Venue: Lyne Village, Chertsey, Surrey
(Delegate Numbers are Limited)
Aim & Eligibility
The aim of this Examiner Assessment Course is to provide a route to examine the Good Citizen Dog Scheme Silver Award level. Candidates must have passed the Bronze Award Assessment to take part on this course. The course fee will be £50 which includes refreshments and delegate notes.
Course Itinerary
The itinerary has been designed to give candidates an opportunity to be assessed as an Examiner on the Scheme’s procedures at Silver level. The course will consist of a comprehensive presentation of the Scheme’s standards, a written examination and practical assessment. The written examination will be in the form of a multiple choice paper, from which candidates will be required to gain a 75% pass mark.
Practical Sessions
During the practical assessment sessions, candidates will be asked to take control of a class as a Scheme Examiner would during a test situation. Candidates will need to demonstrate ability to recognise and apply the Scheme standards in various scenarios, make decisions and provide feedback to dog handlers.

The course will be confirmed upon receipt of your application form but it is likely it will commence at 9.15am and will conclude at approximately 6.00pm. This course fee includes delegate notes and refreshments throughout the day. Lunch is not provided; delegates are advised to bring a packed lunch. Unfortunately there are no catering facilities on site or close to the venue.
