ISSUES DISCUSSED:

·  Approved April 1, 2010 meeting minutes, motion made by Barb Volner and seconded by Melissa Onstad.

·  Elizabeth Sowden has taken Rose Fischman’s position at MHCA. Rose did a great job for us at the Assn. level. We will miss her, but are thrilled to welcome and get to know Elizabeth.

·  The 2010 Education calendar was reviewed and discussed.Region 4 will be hosting a session on July 14th on coding and Oasis C. We also will host a session on October 7th on “Oasis in Practice”.

·  Everyone felt that the 2010 Annual Conference was excellent. Discussed a 12 minute video that was shown on Rehab. Those that saw it were very impressed with it. Barb Volner thought this might have been presented by Prairie River Home Care and will check into possibly showing it at the next meeting and having copies available for purchase if others want it.

·  Discussion was held on the Fall HHA conference that Region 4 has been hosting. Katie Waletzka and Melissa Onstad will be on the planning committee. Topics discussed included doing a Rehab – Safety, Fall Prevention, and Keeping People Safe in Their Home theme. The committee will check on getting the Windfelt Room again at Centra Care Plaza from 1 – 5:30. Melissa will possibly talk on the importance of following a plan of care, boundaries, etc. Will also see if the session could be taped and sold to agencies to show to their staff. Door prizes will again be donated by Region 4 agencies.

·  There were no Team/Committee updates.

·  The next meeting will be on August 5, 2010 at 9:30 – 12:00 at the ING café in St. Cloud. There will be a speaker on Drug Interactions in Older Adults.

·  The meeting was adjourned at 11:00a.m.
