2017 SEYMOUR WOMEN’SSHOOTOUTSPECIAL RULES
- 3 game guarantee. - Team awards will be limited to 12 players per team. (1st and 2nd place)
The following special rules and regulations will be adhered to for the tournament:
- Pressing
- Grades 3-4 - None Allowed.
- Grades 5-6 - Allowed only during the last 2 minutes of eachhalf, (plus overtime) unless up by 15.
- Grades 7-8–Anytime, unless up by 15.
- Defense
- Grades 3-4 - Man-to-man only. NO half-court zonesallowed. (Continued violations will be a T)
- Grades 5-6 - Man-to-man only. NO half court zones allowed. (Continued violations will be a T)
- Grades 7-8 - Any defense allowed.
- Time
- Grades 3-4-5Each half will be 16 minutes. Running clock except for final 2 minutes of each half.
- Grades 6-7-8 - Each half will be 18 minutes. Running clock except for final 2 minutesof each half.
- Three (3) full time outs per game–One (1) additional foreach team in overtime period.
- 5 minute warm up before games. 5 minute half time.
- Overtime – 2 minutes with clock stop. If still tied after first OT; 10 players on floor will shoot free throws.
- Free Throw Line - Grades 3/4 will shoot from 14 foot line. (Can go over line) All other grades WIAA rule.
- Technical Fouls – 1st technical foul will result in an automatic 2 points and the ball for the other team. 2nd technical foul will result in ejection from the game whether it is a coach or a player.
- Any team canceling their accepted entry fee after Jan. 5, 2015 will in effectforfeit their entry fee.
- No All-Star Teams (Rosters must be composed of players from one school district.), teams found to be in violation of this rule will be asked to remove ineligible players before playing games or forfiet.
- Waiver or Release - The Seymour Basketball Association, the Management of this tournament, the Seymour Community School District, or any team manager shall not be held responsible for personal injury of any player or loss of team/individual property during the tournament.
Pool Tie Breakers and Seeding
- In Seeded Tournaments we reserve the right to move teams with same record so that schools don’t play themselves and teams don’t repeat games already played.

2. Head-to-Head (unless 3-way tie)
3. Point differential (margin) in pool/prelim games (+/-), maximum 15 points. (End of Game)
4. Total Points given up.
5. Two teams still tied, tie will go to head-to-head winner of the 2 teams in their pool game. - 6. Coin flip
