CRITERIA
Age 35-50 years old at the time of nomination
Actively involved in some form of agriculture/agri-business
Has made significant impacts in The Colorado Agriculture Industry especially at an younger age
THE RISING STAR WILL RECEIVE:
A 1:30 video highlighting their involvement in agriculture.
A plaque commemorating their accomplishment
1 table at the Hall of Fame
1 hotel room
Name on a plaque to be displayed at the Dept. of Ag.
WHAT TO SUBMIT:
Nominators need to provide the following as their submission packet..
Cover letter detailing the accomplishments of their “rising star”
Resume or Biography of the candidate
2 additional letters of recommendation
1 hi-res photo or digital copy of the candidate
SELECTION PROCESS
The Hall of Fame Selection Committee will screen the nominations down to no more than 3 candidates.
The living (no spouses) members of the Hall of Fame will be sent a ballot with a synopsis of the Rising Star Candidates. Members of the Hall of Fame will vote for their choice. The ballots will be tallied and the nominator and Rising Star will be notified.
**Please submit all of the above requested information in one folder with nothing more than a binder-clip holding the information. Please DO NOT USE plastic cover sheets or any other materials that will make duplication difficult.
The successful candidates will receive the original submission packet as a keepsake.
