GROUNDHOG’S DAY PRESIDENTS’ DAY
Groundhog's Day, I looked around,Lincoln and Washington
Saw my shadow on the groundThey are remembered on
Yes I saw my shadow, Presidents' Day.
When I took a peekTwo men in history
That means winter 6 more weeks! Who gave us liberty.
Honor their memories
LITTLE GEORGIE GROUNDHOG On this great day.
Way deep down
In a hole in the groundGEORGE WASHINGTON
Lived little Georgie Groundhog One time there was a little boy
All furry and round. Who had a little hatchet
Little Georgie Groundhog He looked and looked around
Popped up one day, To find a little tree to catch it
He looked around and decided to stay. At last he spied a cherry tree
But just as Little Georgie His father’s pride and joy
Started to play He chopped it down,
Out popped his shadow Right to the ground
And frightened him away. My! What a naughty boy!
Back down his hole Little Georgie sped
Back to his home ABRAHAM LINCOLN
Back to his bed! President Lincoln is a favorite president
LITTLE GROUNDHOG He is honored and loved by Little groundhog down below, many
Underneath the wintry snow. So we do not forget him
Come on out and tell us true... We put his face on our penny
Is Spring coming?
Is Winter through?OUR PRESIDENTS
Our presidents, our presidents,
I’M A LITTLE GROUNDHOG We honor them today.
I'm a little groundhog, furry and brown,Our presidents, our presidents,
See me pop while I look around,We honor them today.
If I see my shadow, down I'll goRemembering presidents of
Six more weeks of winter, oh no!the past,
And honoring him who serves
MR. GROUNDHOG today.
Mr. Groundhog, Mr. Groundhog, Our presidents, our presidents,
Take a peek, Take a peek. We honor them today.
