Welcome to Santa Monica!! The following guide will help you navigate this apartment and the surrounding area. I’ve put this guide together to answer all of the questions I have received over the past year hosting guest through Airbnb. Please take a moment to read through it in order to make your stay is as awesome as possible.

I. Keys and Garage Door Opener
There are 2keys on the key chain.
1.The silver key opens the main door to the apartment complex
2. The brass key is for the front door of the apartment
The Garage door opener
The garage door opener is needed to access the garage underneath the building. You do not need the garage door opening when leaving the garage.
PLEASE RETURN THE GARAGE DOOR OPENER BEFORE DEPARTING!
II. Parking
The garage is accessed from the alleyway between 3rdst and 4thst.The alley way is a one-way street so you will need to enter the alleyway from Broadway. The garage is last garage before hitting Santa Monica Blvd.
Press the button on the garage door opener to open the gate.
There is one reserved parking space located on the second level of the parking structure. The space is labeled 207. Please make sure not to park elsewhere in the parking structure as you may be towed away. (If there happens to be someone parked in the space, please place a note on the car telling them they are parked in your space. Park in any open space next to it temporarily)
III. Operating the Television
The television is a smart tv and is connected to the internet and to a digital antenna. To watch local broadcast television simply channel up or down on the remote control. There are many station to choose from but the major channels are located in between 2 and 12, these stations include ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX
Living Room TV
Streaming TV and Movies - The television is connected to the internet and several streaming applications. To access these applications press home on the remote control and use the remote as a wand to select Netflix, Hulu Plus, or Amazon Prime.
3D Movies- there are glasses located in the drawer beneath the TV that will allow you to watch some of the free 3D content located in the 3D world section of the TV.
Bedroom TV
Use the multi-color button in the middle of the remote to access streaming content.
Streaming wireless applications.
Netflix –Great for exploring documentaries, indie movies, and some great TV series.
Hulu- Perfect for watching popular TV shows
Amazon Prime – The best selection of blockbuster classic movies

IV. Bose Sound System
This is a Bluetooth device that can be linked to any Bluetooth enable device. Press and hold the Bluetooth button until it is flashing blue. Then pair to your device.
V. Trash Chute
Please dispose of all trash in the chute located in the room down the hall. If the trash will not fit in the chute, please just leave it in on the floor in the trash room
VI. Thermostat
The weather in Santa Monica is typically mild so the thermostat is usually off. To set the thermostat simply push the up or down arrows to set the desired temperature.
VII. Telescope
The telescope has a screw on lens cap that should remain on whenever it is not in use. Please do not leave the telescope outside.
VIII. Maintenance
If there are issues with the apartment (clogged toilet, broken garbage disposal, burnt out light bulbs) please email me and I will contact building maintenance to fix the problem. It usually takes 1-2 day for non-emergency issues to be resolved.
IX. Check-Out
Check out time is 11am. Please throw all trash out before departing. Please send me a text message when you have vacated the apartment. Leave the keys on the counter and leave the door Unlocked when you depart.
