Perry Johnson Registrar CDM Inc (PJRCDM) is an associated company of Perry Johnson Registrars, Inc. (PJR), which is a certification/registration body of nationally and internationally recognized standards including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 (quality and environmental management system) and provides its service globally. PJRCDM provides validation/verification/certification services under the following GHG emission reduction programs (schemes): CDM, JI, VCS-2007 (Voluntary Carbon Standard) among others.

Key Responsibilities

·  Oversee and develop the technical team

·  Supervise and manage the entire development cycle of projects

·  Approval of new methodologies

·  Together with the Business Development manager, be focal point of communication with our clients

·  Organize meetings with relevant partners and stakeholders

Specific Requirements

You have graduated in Engineering or Science and can demonstrate minimum 3-5 years of relevant CDM experience and a minimum of 10-15 years industrial experience. Knowledge of climate change policy and the Carbon Market, greenhouse gas emission reduction technologies as well as strong knowledge of methodologies and the CDM process are expected. Your ability to work as part of a multicultural and diverse team is accompanied by strong project management skills gained in the energy, waste or industrial sector. Your have proven skills in human resources management and ability to work on a strategic level. You are a team player with good analytical, problem solving and communication skills. Proficiency in English.

Competencies:

·  Should be technically sound, strong hold on technology and industrial processes and have an interest in pursuing a career in the climate change business area

·  Knowledge of the project based Mechanisms of the Kyoto Protocol, especially CDM and other carbon markets like ISO 14064, VCS, CDM - GS, WRI, WBCSD, CCX etc

·  Practical experience with the CDM validation and verification cycle

·  The position requires extensive review and approval of proposals and technical reports prepared by the team.

·  Exceptional quantitative analytical capabilities and written / oral communication skills in English are required along with the ability to work as a team player -

·  Working closely with the clients and consultants and other team members

·  Auditing experience desirable but not necessary

·  Willingness to travel-domestic as well as international

·  Cultural sensitivity

·  Qualified EMS/QMS auditor, would be an added advantage

Position Objective: To execute & validate CDM projects

·  Job profile :

·  Carrying out assessments of CDM and other GHG off - set projects

·  Performing final approvals of the validation and verification project reports

·  Communication with clients and accreditation bodies as required

·  Review decisions made by the CDM Executive Board and other relevant development at the UNFCCC and IPCC and apprise team members regularly

·  Undertaking need based research on the national policy-institution-legislation across the sectors like climate change, conventional energy, renewable energy, fertilizer, cement, electricity generation and distribution etc.

·  Updating and sharing market information on carbon business

The job description entails a good grasp of the technologies, policies and calculation methods associated with climate change along with a passion for tackling the problem are essential. We’re also looking for excellent project management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. Willingness to travel and fluency in English are a must. Additional foreign language skills are welcome.
