Job Title: Support Worker

Hours:37 per week

Salary:£16,000 pa pro rata

Service/Location:Briars, Cornford Lane, Pembury, Kent, TN2 4QU

We are looking for support workers to join our professional team that is dedicated to supporting people to achieve a progressively more independent life style and maximise their potential.

The skills we are looking for are:

  • Diploma/NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or willing to work towards the qualification.
  • Highly motivated individuals who are able to work on their own initiative and flexible enough to work shifts and sleep ins.
  • Have a passion and enthusiasm for delivering quality services to vulnerable people
  • Are able to demonstrate empathy whilst enabling people to maximise their independence
  • Full driver’s licence and access to a car with business insurance is desirable. You will need to be able to demonstrate how you would meet the transport needs of this job role.

Briars in Tunbridge Wells supports adults with learning disabilities, dementia and complex needs to live full and rewarding lives.

The people we support enjoying doing fun activities such as horse riding, bowling and trips to the cinema. You’ll support them with their day to day activities such as shopping, cooking, household chores, personal care and pursuing their hobbies. They also enjoy going on holidays and have recently been to Butlins, Exmoor, Blackpool and Spain.

The nine individuals living in the house, some of whom are wheelchair bound, require a number of hours of support which is provided by a team working different shifts throughout the week. Some sleep in’s will be required.
