Dear Parents/Guardians,

This letter is to inform you of the upcoming sixth grade field trip to The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire. Attached to this letter is the North Penn School District Field Trip Permission Form.

IMPORTANT: It is necessary to return this form, and provide your consent, for your student to participate. School District policy prohibits students from attending field trips without parent/guardian permission.

The Sixth Grade field trip will take place on Thursday, October 8, 2015. Sixth grade students will attend The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire, which takes place at the Mount Hope Estate in Manheim, Pennsylvania. This field trip is connected to the study of the Middle Ages and Medieval Times in Social Studies class.

The trip to the Manheim location takes two hours both ways. As a result, it is necessary for students to arrive at Oak Park before the school day and be picked up after the usual dismissal time.

NOTE: Parent/Guardian transportation is required for students to get to Oak Park and to be picked up following the field trip. No District transportation will be available.

·  Students understand that the school expectations and rules of apply while on the trip.

Also, it is critical that time sensitive deadlines on the permission slip pertaining to the field trip be honored.

Please contact a member of the sixth grade team with questions.

Thank you.
