Addressing Surveys:

·  Chairperson Czaja said that the submissions to the two address surveys (addressing guideline and address point layer) has ended. The final results were that 39 municipalities responded to the address guideline survey and 44 municipalities responded to the address point survey. Mr. Asimonye asked about presenting the results at the March 24th Geospatial Council meeting which Chairperson Czaja said he would. Mr. Blake suggested that we do some further advertising of our efforts to create a statewide addressing guideline and let people know at the Spring NEARC meeting about these efforts. Chairperson Czaja said that he plans to contact the addressing guideline respondents to get copies of their street and addressing documentation in order to help the subcommittee start creating a guideline at a future meeting. Chairperson Czaja said that he also plans to contact the Connecticut State Library to see if they have any addressing information in their collection that could be included in the subcommittee’s current efforts.

Address Data Model:

·  Chairperson Czaja said that he had been experimenting with the draft address data model and stated that there may be a need to consolidate certain fields in order to simplify the model. Mr. Flodine cautioned that we would need to be careful to insure that any changes would not affect the geocoding process. Chairperson Czaja said that the FGDC draft addressing model, which the state model is derived from, has been submitted for final FGDC approval.

Broadband Grant:

·  Chairperson Czaja said that he had heard that the State of Connecticut Department of Public Utility Control would begin doing their broadband availability analysis soon through their contractor, Applied Geographics. Mr. Blake said that the project would create a statewide parcel dataset but was unsure of when this would be completed.

LUCA:

·  Chairperson Czaja stated that he had submitted Connecticut’s appealed addresses for the Census LUCA project.
