Draft Raffle Terms and Conditions
Monies raised by this raffle will support the general work of Cumbria Community Foundation, Registered Charity No 1075120. The Foundation exists to improve the quality of life for the communities of the county of Cumbria.
Participation in the Jennings Rivers Ride Raffle costs £1 per entry.
This raffle is open to residents aged 16 or over of mainland Great Britain (this excludes Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and Channel Islands).
No tickets can be sold to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 16 years. If a ticket is sold unknowingly to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 16 they will be exempt from the raffle and will forfeit their prize.
Employees of Cumbria Community Foundation, and members of their households, are ineligible to enter this raffle. Any tickets bought in the name of Cumbria Community Foundation employees or members of their households will be rejected from the draw and considered as donations to the Foundation.
Payment for participation in the raffle can be made by cheque payable to Cumbria Community Foundation or cash.
Raffle tickets will be entered into the draw when the whole payment is received.
Cumbria Community Foundation accepts no responsibility for raffle tickets which are lost, damaged, illegible, or from which the prize-winner cannot be identified, or for any technical failure or event which may cause the competition to be disrupted or corrupted.
The draw will take place at 3.00pm on Sunday 18 September.
All tickets for the draw must be received no later than 2.30pm on Sunday 18 September 2011. Any ticket entries received after 3.00pm on Sunday 18 September 2011 will be considered as donations to Cumbria Community Foundation.
Winning raffle tickets will be drawn randomly.
The result of the raffle draw is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
Prizes and vouchers will be posted to the winners. There is no cash equivalent for any of the prizes.
Winners may be asked to provide a photograph or to be photographed and interviewed to provide a quote about winning in order to help Cumbria Community Foundation promote future fundraising draws.
Winners will be notified by post, email or telephone no later than two weeks after the draw date. A list of winners’ names, counties and winning numbers will also be published at Cumbria Community Foundation.org.uk within two weeks after the draw date.
Where Cumbria Community Foundation is unable to contact a prize-winner so that a prize remains unclaimed for six months following Cumbria Community Foundation’s first attempt to notify the prize-winner, Cumbria Community Foundation may apply the prize as it sees fit, including by re-offering the prize in future raffles.
All winners are required to co-operate with Cumbria Community Foundation’s right to publish their win as and where deemed appropriate, and to provide proof of age when requested.
This raffle is a form of gambling. Participants are encouraged to gamble sensibly.
