Vacancy: Supply Chain Spreadsheet Developer
2 Sisters Food Group are a leading food manufacturer of both retailer own label and ownbrand products, supplying Retailers and Wholesaler’s from 42 factories across the UK, Ireland and Europe, understanding our Supply Chain Cost to Serve is key to our on going success.
An opportunity has arisen for a talented, highly numerate Spreadsheet Developer / Analyst to join our Supply Chain Cost to serve team based in Wakefield city centre.
Shortlisted for a leading Supply Chain Innovation award in 2014 we have developed an in house Excel / PowerPoint / VBA process to receive, analyse, interpret, present and distribute our Supply Chain Cost to Serve.
It is an exciting time to be joining our team as we continue to develop and roll out the next phases of our cost to serve.
Role & Responsibilities.
- You will be responsible as part of the Cost to Serve team in ensuring the weekly key reporting deadlines are achieved, thanks to your spreadsheet simplification and automation.
- The role will refine and develop current spreadsheet processes receiving distributed information from across the business, its analysis and presentation.
- You will work alongside the team in the planning, development and commissioning of new analysis tools and ways of working on the next phases of cost to serve.
- You will support the rest of the team in developing reports and insight to stakeholders using advanced Excel functions.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills.
- Good communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Confidence in communicating with management levels, colleagues, managers and internal stakeholders.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
- Highly advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook (2007 versions onwards).
- VBA developer ability to validate data upfront (distributed) and automate its receipt, validation, processing, storage, presentation and distribution.
- Meticulous in attention to detail and processes.
- Cost saving initiative experience would be desirable.
- Welcoming of change, the role holder will actively work with colleagues to identify ways of resolving issues and achieving improved results.
- Good organisational and planning skills.
- Work to tight deadlines and easily re-prioritise work.
- Ability to work using own initiative and as part of a team.
- Preferably educated to degree level in a numerate subject such as maths, statistics, business, finance or other data-intensive subject such as Geography, Psychology, and Ethnography etc.
- Food Supply Chain experience is not a pre-requisite and we would welcome applicants from other sectors or recent graduates.
