During the week of August 29, 2014 through September 5, 2014, the Preston County Sheriff’s Department handled 86 calls for service; received 6 concealed weapon applications, handled 6 traffic accident investigations, responded to 4 domestic violence calls, made 5 arrests and transported 10 inmates.
C140003056 Destruction of Property Saturday, August 30, 2014, Deputies Farling and Lewis responded to a complaint from a Masontown gas station.
C140003069 Burglary Sunday, August 31, 2014, Deputy Farling responded to a Reedsville residence regarding a burglary, not in progress. The resident stated that he returned home and noticed that his television, some boxes from his closet and $26.00 was missing.
C140003098 Burglary Wednesday, September 3, 2014, Deputy Childers received a call from a Terra Alta resident reporting that someone was entering and removing all copper from an abandoned apartment building.
C140003106 Larceny Wednesday, September 3, 2014, Deputy Lewis received a phone call from a Reedsville resident stating that his various medications had been removed from his home.
C140003063 Larceny Monday, September 1, 2014, Deputy McNair received a call from a Kingwood resident reporting that he had $110.00 stolen from his hotel room.
C140003113 Larceny Thursday, September 4, 2014, Lt. Turner received a call from an employee of a Terra Alta business reporting that they had a money bag stolen.
C140003112 Larceny Thursday, September 4, 2014, Sgt. Bryan spoke to a Kingwood resident at the Preston County Sheriff’s Department reporting that his prescription had been stolen from his residence.
C140003062 Larceny Sunday, August 31, 2014, Deputy McNair received a complaint from a Bruceton Mills resident reporting that a green laser light and a box containing grilling utensils was missing from his property.
C140003096 Larceny Wednesday, September 2, 2014, Corporal Sinclair received a call from an employee of the WV DOH reporting that several pieces of equipment were missing from the Terra Alta office.
C140003097 Larceny Wednesday, September 2, 2014, Corporal Sinclair received a call from a Howesville resident reporting that someone had stolen her puppy.
