AA 101 Meeting Format

Remember… It is your job to make sure the job gets done! If you cannot make it to the meeting, make sure you get someone to fulfill your commitment.

Commitment / Description
Birthday / ·  Coordinate Birthday meeting every quarter
·  Get a Cake and candles
·  Make sure all celebrants have annual chips (work with Literature coordinator to get the chips)
·  Arrange a food list and ensure that everybody brings what they committed to bring – REMIND people what they signed up to bring
·  Remind everyone that Coat and Tie is mandatory for presenters and celebrants.
·  Make frequent announcements at the end of each meeting explaining birthday procedure and scheduled date for the party
Butt Cans / ·  By 7:15, have the butt cans placed outside the door and at the main entryway to the church
·  After the meeting, clean out the butt cans and put them back in the closet
Clean Up / ·  Set the room the way it was before we got there
·  Return all chairs and tables to their original location
·  Put up all the supplies into the meeting suitcase and return it to the closet
·  Make Sure all dishes are cleaned and put back in the kitchen
·  Sweep up any major messes on the floor
Greeting / ·  Be at the meeting by 7:30 standing out in the smoking area ready to greet everyone that comes into the room with a warm handshake
·  Show newcomers and visitors where the meeting and the bathroom is.
Literature / ·  Make sure we have some Big Books and 12x12s for sale (at least 2 each)
·  Work with birthday chair to pick up the annual anniversary chips
Meeting Chairs / ·  Appoint a chair person for each month of the year
Secretary / ·  Appoint commitments every year at the beginning of December
·  Maintain the meeting format
·  Maintain the commitment descriptions
·  Update meeting format and commitment descriptions as needed
Setup / ·  Be at the meeting by 7:15
·  Setup chairs
·  Arrange tables
·  Get out the meeting book
·  Get a collection basket
·  Set out the literature
Signs / ·  By 7:15, have the signs placed outside the door and at the main entryway to the church
·  After the meeting, put the signs back in the closet
Snacks / ·  Buy good snacks for every meeting… Don’t buy crap or be a cheap bastard.
·  If you need to be reimbursed, save a receipt and request payment from the treasurer
Supplies / ·  Responsible to ensure that the group has sufficient coffee, cups, sugar, creamer, plates, knives, forks, napkins.
Treasurer / ·  Collect the weekly money.
·  Send a monthly Check for $35 per meeting to:

·  Reimburse members for group expenses
·  If not present at the meeting, appoint someone to collect the cash
Web / ·  Maintain the group phone list, commitment list
