CASE #11-0279 DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTYOn Saturday, January 22, 2011, Cpl Dotson received a call from a resident of Kingwood who stated that his mailbox had been damaged on Pleasantdale Road. Any witnesses are asked to contact the sheriff’s department.

CASE #11-0281 DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTYOn Sunday, January 23, 2011, Deputy Rodeheaver received a call from a resident of Rowlesburg who stated that a vehicle had ran through her fence on Cheat Valley Highway. Any witnesses are asked to contact the sheriff’s department.

CASE #11-0283 FRAUDOn Sunday, January 23, 2011, Deputy Rodeheaver received a call from a resident of Kingwood who stated that they had purchased a Playstation 3 from Craigslist.com and have not yet received that product. Partial payment had been send to the seller. Please use caution when ordering through an online site.

CASE #11-0294 FRAUDOn Monday, January 24, 2011, DFC Mitter received a call from a resident of Tunnelton who stated that she had received a call from Global International stating that she had won a large amount of money but in order to receive it she must send a payment of $150.00. The call had originated in Jamaica.

CASE #11-0299 FRAUDOn Monday, January 24, 2011, Deputy Beach received a call from a resident of Bruceton Mills, near Pisgah, who stated that she had received several phone calls requesting her bank account information.

CASE #11-0308 LARCENYOn Tuesday, January 25, 2011, Cpl Pritt received a call from the BFS in Bruceton Mills in regards to a theft of gasoline. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE #11-0320 SHOPLIFTINGOn Wednesday, January 26, 2011, Deputies Tichnell and Baggett responded to the Kingwood Wal-Mart in regards to a shoplifting complaint.

CASE #11-0327 FRAUDOn Wednesday, January 26, 2011, Cpl Pritt received a call from a resident of Kingwood who stated that he had received a call from a private caller stating that he had won $300,000 dollars. The victim was asked to pay for two stamps and then the money would be given to them. This is believed to be a fraudulent scheme. As a reminder: be cautious about giving out personal information to unknown persons.

CASE #11-0330 DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTYOn Wednesday, January 26, 2011, Deputy Rodeheaver received a call from a resident of Kingwood who stated that someone had ran into his yard.

CASE #11-0343 LARCENYOn Thursday, January 27, 2011, Cpl Root received a call from a resident of Bruceton Mills who stated that medication had been stolen from their apartment building. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE #11-0344 BURGLARYOn Thursday, January 27, 2011, Cpl Root, Cpl Bryan and Deputy Rodeheaver responded to a burglary complaint near Irona Gospel Church on Route 26 south. This is a continuing investigation.
