Semester 3 – University of Louvain (Louvain-la-Neuve)

In Louvain, the FAME+ studentsshare classes with the master students in Chemical and Materials Science Engineering. The FAME+ module iscentered on the engineering of materials and nanostructures, with the possibility (if sodesired) to develop a strongerknowledge of organicmaterials and nanotechnology. The FAME+ module comprises 30 ECTS of courses, mandatoryandelective. The master thesisprovides 30 supplementary ECTS.

Mandatory courses

Four courses of five ECTS are mandatory; however, they have to betakenonlywhen no equivalent course wasfollowedbefore by the student. Equivalence isevaluated by the FAME+ local coordinatorbased on documents provided by the student (such as tables of content of former courses, number of credits and grades obtained, etc.). Eachwaivedmandatory course must bereplaced by an elective course of samenumber of ECTS.Experience showsthat,on average, FAME+ students skip one course from the list of mandatory courses below.
