Staff Support Secretary
Position Title:Staff Support Secretary for Southeast-South Central [SESC] Cooperative
Qualifications of Staff Support Secretary:
The Staff Support Secretary for the SESC Cooperativeshall hold the following characteristics:
- Experience in managing an office
- Intermediate to advanced technological/computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and ability to learn other software programs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and spoken)
- Self-starter and independent worker
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work as an effective team member
- Ability to adjust to change and varied work assignments
- Attention to detail and well organized
- Such alternatives or additions to the above items the Board may deem appropriate
Major Responsibility: The Staff Support Secretary will support the Director of Special Education in the effective management of the SESC special education program and other duties as assigned by SESC administration
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Serve as administrative assistant to Regional Director of Special Education.
- Facilitate communication between representatives from member districts and SESC staff.
- Assist consultants with trainings (folders, handouts, binders, sign-in sheets, evaluations, greet participants, collect sign-in sheets, and collect evaluations).
- Work with SESC staff to collect and analyze project data, reporting at least monthly to Regional Director of Special Education.
- Maintain and coordinate monthly calendar of SESC consultants.
- Maintain London Training Room Calendar.
- Maintain assessment data and tracking system related to professional development evaluations.
- Maintain and coordinate the SESC lending library.
- Input registration information into registration site for trainings; communicate with participants any relevant information pertaining to trainings.
- Schedule rooms needed for trainings
- Serve as the office receptionist and the office manager, handling ordering of all office supplies, maintaining office records, maintaining inventory of all office equipment, computers, assist with technology, and etc.
- Manage emergency-probationary teacher files
- Serve as secretary to the Advisory Council, writing and maintaining meeting minutes and all other records associated with meetings.
- Perform general typing, filing and bookkeeping duties
- Attend trainings, workshops and conferences (as applicable to position and approved by supervisor) to maintain and enhance skills and performance.
- Other duties as assigned by the SESC administration.
Terms of Employment:Salary, number of days, work hours, employee benefits, and other related issues are to be set by contract, as approved by the Board
Evaluation: Job performance for the position of Director of Special Education will be evaluated in accordance with the Policies and Procedures as approved by the SESC Board
