Rhodes House

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION/SERVICES

Rhodes House is a residential social model program that provides treatment and case management services for up to 25 women. Comprehensive services include individual assessments and individual service planning, group education, skill development, 12-Step fellowship networking, housing search and placement and employment search as well as advocacy and transportation necessary for medical, dental, mental health and legal issues that the client may have. The program supports a comprehensive approach to independent living and economic self-sufficiency and continues to provide support to graduates living in the community.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Any woman who is over the age of eighteen years of age with a desire for living a drug free lifestyle may voluntarily enter the Rhodes House Program. We are committed to providing services with full attention to a person’s dignity and affirm that all women should have access to treatment regardless of ethnicity or cultural beliefs, physical capabilities or sexual orientation.

PROGRAM BENEFITS

Rhodes House is a social model recovery home dedicated to providing a safe, stable, and nurturing environment to women new in recovery. Primarily funded through the Department of Public Health, the program serves a broad cross-section of the community, including those that have a long history of homelessness.

VOLUNTEER AND INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

People can inquire about a volunteer or internship opportunity at SMOC by calling the Director of Community Resources at the FraminghamResourceCenter. The number is (508) 620-2418. Once an opportunity is identified within SMOC, an interview is set up by the component director who will request necessary human resource’s processes such as, a CORI check, and employment authorization check.

DONATIONS ACCEPTED

Rhodes House will accept in-kind donations of new or gently-used items to prepare our residents for their transition or to help make their lives more comfortable during their stay at the program. Items including professional clothing for interviews and newly-acquired employment, personal care items and household items for those getting ready to transition to their own housing are always in need. These items are always needed and very much appreciated by our residents. In addition, we will accept donations of food, art and office supplies, and furniture as well as cash donations to help defray the costs of program-related expenses.
