How to edit a page of your wiki and insert a file

  1. Open the wiki (eg http://gr2mwps.wikispces.com )
  2. Log in with your username and password (see instruction sheet 1!)
  3. Find the page you want to add some text to
  4. Now you will see there is an edit button you can click. They are bin different places depending on the theme (background, page layout) that you have chosen.
  5. Now you will have a screen like this. It’s just like a Word document so you can type, put in pictures by copying and pasting or you can do some other funky stuff. You can see what was already typed there – I can delete it or go on adding to the page.

For a start:

Bold, italic, underline and Text (colour, font, size – if you want it bigger, change it to more than 100%)

Numbering, bullets and insert a horizontal line across the page

Links to an internet site, adding a file like a word document (see below) or inserting a table to type in (don’t worry about widgets yet!)

Previewing and saving your work. Drafts are saved as you go but you need to save when you’re done and it will go to the page so you can see your work

ADDING A FILE (like a PowerPoint, Word document, picture, movie or whatever)

Press the file button

You’ll get this screen which shows you what you’ve uploaded before.

For something new press UPLOAD FILE and it will go to your computer. Navigate your way to what you want and press open.

SIngle click on the document on the list (it will be at the top) and it will be inserted into the page. Just keep on typing or press save.
