RTLB Presentation.

Warm Ups / Openers

1. My name is… (speaking)

2. Finger squeeze (silent / non-verbal)

3. Just like me. ‘In the weekend I…’ ‘My favourite food/pastime is …’ (verbal)

Mix Up games (Silent Statements)

1. Salad Bowl- fruit/ Cocktails- wine, beer, juice

2. Stand up and change places if –

‘ You have completed your RTLB training’ (RTLB)

‘ You have started or are starting you training next year’ (RTLB)

‘You know someone who has been bullied’ (Child)

‘You are worried about the stress level of an adult you are working with’ (Adult)

‘You felt sad today’ (Child)

‘You have experienced overload’ (Adult)

3. Number off 1,2,3,4 Make partners

Turn to partner and share a wobbly case you’ve had recently.

Stand and change places if one of the students on your role had a melt down leading up to the end of last term.

Rounds/Finish the Sentence cards

1. One individual sentence per participant or

2. One nominated sentence for whole group (by student or teacher)

Eg: ‘A real friend is …’ ( social skills)

‘ I fell happy when I hear/see/smell/touch/taste…’ (self awareness/empathy)

‘ One target I want to achieve this week is…’ (motivation)

Feelings and Image Cards

1. Pick any card and talk about its significance to you. or

2. Only use one card for the whole group. or

3. Use one card between partners.

4. Think, Pair, Share - using image card “Think of the most intersting and descriptive sentence you can for you picture.Share it with you partner who will help you make it even more interesting. Then share it with the circle’

Partner Activities

1. Turn to your partner on your left, tell two truths and one lie and they have to guess

the lie.

2. Turn to your partner and find out two things you both like/dislike – report back to

the circle ‘We both like/dislike…

”Report back to the circle what your partner’s name is and something you have learnt about them e.g. This is Michael and he is good at… & this is Mary and she told me that she likes…
